They aren't hard to make. They even sell kits! i've only even bought them premade by a well known company. I did have one set made for the car, as no one made those. Near our airport, there's a place that'll make any kind you want. they do a lot of hydraulic work.

I had Carpal Tunnel surgery on my left hand on Tuesday so waiting a little longer before returning to work on this bike.

Those Amazon brake lines came curled up in a circle, so I have them hanging down with a weight attached on each end to help straighten them out some before I try using them.

While snooping around......I also found an aftermarket rear brake master cylinder assembly available from eBay for $9.99 plus #3.81 shipping.

    eBay

It matches up pretty good with my OEM and IMHO could be used as a replacement if one wasn't overly prejudiced against such a thing.

Aftermarket levers, lines, and now the master cylinder......would this mean it's no longer a Honda?

I don't know if I could trust a 9$ master cylinder, even on the rear.

I also would not hang weights by the fittings on brake lines, especially cheap ones. Typically a no-no, potentially too much stress on the swages. Honda Service Manual always states that too.

The brake lines are already straightened so I took them down. I used a pair of these tin snips so not really much weight - just enough to do the job. Handy for hanging because of the little loop built into their handles! :) They aren't very heavy at all though.

So far I'm still using the OEM rear brake master cylinder. Just passing along observations on what is available on the market. I'm sure you're right though....

    Thanks! :)

I had that done to my right hand a few years back. Made it very hard to rebuild the forks on my VTR1000F but didn't stop me trying. The surgery was a great success as I was down to about 15 minutes ride time before my hand started to go numb. Now there is no time limit!
