Yep. I started to try and remove the bracket on mine - but it soon became apparent the screws were in too tight and I'd end up messing up the heads, so I left it and just removed the two cables. I was able to get the bracket off later while doing the rebuild with better access to the two screws.

    Hello everyone.......

Things went pretty good this morning getting stuff back on. I had to remove the electric panel to swap out the fuel pump. The seller mentioned the old one was bad when I bought the bike and he was right because I tested it and nada.

Have to admit, I had to consult the manuals - both Clymer and Honda to figure out how everything went back together. Also, the coolant overflow tank was off the bike when I bought it. Fortunately, the seller had it and a bunch of other parts for the bike set aside in a container and gave it to me when I bought it.

I put new fuel lines and a new fuel filter on her too.

Next up is the fuel tank, seat, and side panels.

I think the throttle is still not snapping back as it should but I think it's good enough for now and want to wait until I ride her to formulate a final opinion on what I want to do for that situation.

Here's a vid I just shot. Start warm engine choke on.....take choke off......show idle ~1K. I put the camera down nearer to the engine and you'll notice there is some clacking, so maybe the valves could use an adjustment (one day).

Once again SINCERELY appreciate everyone's help!!!!!!!!!

I didn't know where the fuel filter was supposed to go but noticed in the parts box the seller gave me was a nylon clip about the same diameter as the filter, then put two and two together......

The 3-wire connector you see at the top I think is for the rear blinkers......something I will work on at a later date.

It should be up, to the right, if looking at the battery box. I don't think the lead off of the harness is very long and it gets "lost" from view.

How is the bike running without it and not have a jumper wire?

If that is indeed the empty fuel cut plug, the pump should not be getting power.

But that being a non-US model I could be mis-identifying it. And admittedly, early VF750F is not my specialty. Its been a long time since I climbed around one.

The cylindrical bit below the Reg/Rect is possibly it, but they are usually square in my experience. Or is the other round one that looks like a winker relay the fuel cut. The wire colors make more sense.

I looked it up on Partszilla and it is indeed square and missing and looks like the connector fits mine. How my bike runs without it I don't know.

When I tested the old and new fuel pumps....I did so on the bike using the connector from the bike and the bike running......so guess that is odd.

Does the pump continue to run/pulse with the engine off, but ignition on?

Without the relay I would think some custom wiring would have to have happened
