    Arghhhh!!!!!!

For various STUPID reasons I sold my VFR. Now I discover this thread, you all look like a fun bunch of people to be riding with.

Want it back... (photos at Clinton Lake. I am from Olathe)

Haha, BB...Oz is where it's at!!

These quakes are ridiculous. Just heard on radio that there were injuries. Schools closed. Some evacuations. But the fracking oil companies won't be held liable. This has to stop. I'm all for local oil production and independence. But stop fracking.

    Attention all Kansas Viffers!

Did you see the letter to the editor in a recent Rider magazine, regarding a one-day ride from Lebanon, KS, the geographical center of the U.S., to Rugby, ND, the geographical center of North America? It's held on the Saturday nearest the summer solstice, which is June 24th, 2017.

The Smackdab Run takes Hwy 281 from Lebanon to Rugby, and is approximately 675 miles, one-way. Riders can participate in small or large groups, or solo, as it is a loosely organized run. There are motels in both Lebanon and Rugby, unless you want to IronButt it up and back!

For more information and to (optionally) register, go to www.smackdab281.org

    See you there!

Thanks for the info! I hadn't known about this run until now. I may not be back from my summer trip by then, but if I am and have any tire left, I'll let you know. :)

Hi all. I just joined the site and am located in Wichita. I bought a leftover 2014 VFR last October to keep my 1990 VFR750F company. I don't have near enough time to enjoy my bikes, but maybe sometime I can meet up with some of you for a ride.

Welcome txst! Did you happen to snag the white one in town? I had my eye on that sooooo long...so purrrrdy!

But I have my white oldie and in Wichita too. I'm on VFR800 Owners and know Steve, so if we've messaged there I'm the same turd.

Anyhoo, PM me if you find time to get out. There are a few of us around these here parts and would be fun to get together!
Maybe it time I just plan a ride and you Kansas peeps show yourselves! ;)

Your bike isn't old - my 1990 VFR750F is old (but still one of the best bikes I have ridden).

I actually bought a red one in Stillwater, OK. My wife and I were in Mid America last fall and saw they had 2 - a red and white. I had a 2007 CBR600RR that I hardly ever rode and asked them what they would give me on a trade. They low-balled me, but then I saw on their website they lowered the price of the bikes in the showroom shortly after we were in there. I emailed them twice to make a deal and called and left a message, but they never got back to me. In the mean time, I found a red one in Stillwater, emailed them and they offered me $600 more for my CBR and the VFR800 was $700 less, so that sealed the deal for me. Unfortunately, I haven't ridden it much - just turned over 500 miles and changed the oil for the first time this weekend.

I'll definitely shoot you a PM for a ride sometime.

That's awesome you got such a deal! I've heard wishy-washy things about that store and their dealings in moto sales.
Sucks for them they didn't get back with you. When they told me they got rid of the last one, it sounded like it was deeply cut. If I could have afforded it, I would have gone for it.

Anyhoo, super you got an amazing deal in OK. Can never go wrong buying vehicles in the OK. Cheaper all around.

There are some of us organizing a ride this Saturday if both or just you are available. I'll PM you details and come if you can!
