The battery tender is a must for anyone who stores the bike in cold weather.

Getting ready for riding-Just Bought a High Great helmet-the Shoei RF1100 sport touring chroma helmet brand new-I was trying to buy a used helmet, but it seemed to be too risky getting stuck with a bad fitting Lid. My other two Lids both don't fit right, one is too round and the other too oval-it looks like I am in the middle.:yo:

Can't go wrong with Shoei IMO. You should also never "cheap out" on safety gear!

    Cheers!

I agree, but this is not the case in other places:

    Panty Vending Machines | Gakuranman

No mention of helmets. There is a bidding war on Ebay for some used dude skivvies by some harleydoods. Maybe we'll see some of those vending machines in the Harley Botiques some day.

I was looking at a aria corsar5 used liker twice that's a $900-800 lid, but then thought it just might not fit right and I would be stuck. I spotted this shoie rf-1100 for $379 brand new with some cool graphics chrome white, gray black-I think this is a really good helmet-I didn't want a cheapo lid-because I all ready have those:laser:

My 2006 vfr 800 abs just got here-had a dead battery, replaced it and added a battery tender connectors-seems to be charging, abs light on-I know at 6mph it should go off. Oil level was low, I am changing the oil right away, tires are ok,no scratches in paint-so far anything is good, ran the engine some-took some pics-parked it in garage and put bike cover on-It looks like I got a great condition 2006 abs 800 with less than 4300 miles on it, after I change oil-I am getting a temp plate to get bugs out-then mothballing it,but I will be madding the bike in the winter-looks like leo exhaust -pcv, different seat, tank bag,gps mount, saddlebags, rain suit ect:mechanic::smow:

Your weather looks really good at the moment. I'd get that oil changed and rack up some miles before it gets snotty there. Mean while, inquiring minds in San Diego want to know what moth balling your motorcycle means:cool: 12 month riding season is one of the benefits of living in kooky Kalifornia. Nice score on your new bike. Enjoy.

I have change my mind, I am going to ride in any clear weather above 40 degrees-I think I might have over a month before the freeze comes in. I am waiting for a Honda oil filter wrench, oil filter washers, two fairing clips-some Castrol 10-50 motorcycle oil coming by ups. I also have some 05-40 w Castrol coming later-for winter, and some 10-40 Castrol oil too-that's 18 qtrs.- enough to last me a year. Tires are still ok-over the winter I will replace them. The last oil change was done 1600 miles ago-a bit too long:mech::horn:

I am going to get rid of those 7 year old tires, but that's a winter project, I need to get the bike on the road a little bit to see what bugs it has, and I can beat up those tires a bit because they are old junk:croc: I went nuts with oil and bought 05-40 Castrol power racing 4t and Castrol 10-40, Castrol 10-50 too-I am using different weights of oil for the temp change's. 05-40-is a very usual great cold temp oil,10-40 is good for cold-warm weather. and 10-50w great for hot summer. Plus I got four Purolator Pl14610-an inch longer than stock-holds a little more oil and filters 99.9% of ass- I am a very picky, I may change the fork oil too and add speed bleeders to the brake calipers. By the time I get though with it -it will be better than new-110%:flame::laser: I don't see any pics by the way of this bike so called better looking than mine? Where's the PIC's:smash:

I once asked ebay if bids are contractual. They said yes EXCEPT in the case of real estate and motorized vehicles. "Just too many variables to take into account." So my impression is that if for any reason you don't like it- you aren't obligated to buy it.

I nearly backed out of a sale of a car (my car) because the bid came in too low. I watched too many of those auction shows on TV and had popularized the ad on forums. I had hundreds of watchers and THOUSANDS of views. I yanked the reserve and got creamed. I was just glad to be rid of that nightmare of a car and felt obligated to follow through- even though I wasn't according to eBay.

Getting ready for my perfect old change using 05-40 Castrol racing s 4t and P 99.9% filter-quite bigger than the stock Honda-twice as small. Honda crush washer for drain plug. I got a new filter wrench too. 1600 miles on old oil.the 05-40 w should help in cold weather. I have installed a new 230cc battery and battery tender wires. After this I will get some temp plates and actually ride :thumb:
