i hope its everything its hyped up to be.
after a 900 mile trip on the stocker this weekend me and wifes asses need some comfort.

    ordered it from sandhillpowersports.com
they wouldnt give me the VRworld group buy price that you guys had going on, but $320 with free shipping is still a great price!

got the one with silver accents.
should look great on the bike!

now i just have to sit and wait.. i hate waiting :frown:

I just rode from NJ to LA via Chicago, Mt. Rushmore, Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada on my brand new Sargent. I can honestly say that after 12 hours my ass was starting to hurt a little bit (twisty roads would have helped a lot). ...that's pretty impressive for any seat!

I think you'll be very, very happy!!!

    sounds good to me.

my last bike 04 yamaha R6
i had the seats done by a guy in florida, Spencer moto care. his website is Flash Intro Page
he did an amazing job on the seats.. i did a 1300 mile trip on the R6 and was throughly impressed with the results.. i was gonna get my VFR seat don by him, but opted out for a sargent, cause i didnt want to have my seat gone for a week, and not be able to ride

I just got a Sargent a few weeks ago and have found it to be a great comfort improvement over stock. I still have some issues after a few hundred miles sometimes but it is more like the skin is tired of being sat on rather than that achy feeling from the stock seat. Combining with padded bicycle shorts underneath seems to help too.

Verses the stock seat it seems to be the foam I am guessing, a couple different densitites of good foam make it more comfy. Verses other seats such as corbin etc I don't know the differences or if it is better.

The most important feature, believe it or not, is the shape. The sargents are wider and hence there are less pressure points compared to the stock. To see what I mean try sitting on a cola can and then sit on your couch.

The foam is nice too but shape ultimately is the biggest reason for comfort.

YBMV, but on the Gen5, the stocker was just wrong for me. with the Sargent, 450 miles for me was nuthin' seatwise.......my right wrist, tho.

anyway, how did you order from SanHill?

I tried about 6 times to call - got nothing - no call back - couldn't leave a message.
Then I emailed & it bounced....

    WTF?

I'm ready to buy - but how?

Thanks for the information. Do they have local dealers around so that you can try sitting on one or do you have to just order them online?

Possibly. If you really want to try sitting on one the easiest way might be to find a member in your area who has that seat and meet up and try sitting on it. Based on the number of positive reviews I just ordered it from sandhills web site and it came in about a week.

Some people have said the new carbonfx material is kind of slippery at first and may let you slide forward into the tank when stopping. I haven't really had any issues with that, except this one time I had to stop fast and I did slide forward into the tank. The hitting the tank wasn't so bad.....but then I also hit a pothole while on the front brake hard.......now THAT hurt! [IMG]

Yeah, I as well tried to use their website and put my email in to get their "undisclosed superduper price", but they never responded. Attempted that 2x the other day....not real impressed, they're gonna lose business that way.
The price on this thread is pretty damn good however, mayber $30 less than I've seen elsewhere....hmmm

You sure maybe their e-mail didnt' go into some spam folder? I can't remember having any issues ordering from them. It seems often sites that have really low prices in comparison to others you may not get a fast response or great 'customer service' as it were but for regular run of the mill products they do come through.

Yes that's the price it quoted me too. If you don't think that is a good price, just try ordering it directly from sargent hehe. Group buys are great if you are patient enough.
