FWIW: Honda : Interceptor Honda : Interceptor | eBay Honda : Interceptor Honda : Interceptor | eBay Honda : Interceptor Honda : Interceptor | eBay This is my local Honda shop. Since I've owned a Honda less than one year, I don't have any relationship with them at all.
My 3rd gen has had the cam maintenance, dyno tuned the carbs, clutch inspection, chased all the VFR wiring gremlins, new fuel pump, front wheel bearings and seals, fork seals, brand new steering stem roller bearings, changed front springs, 929 rear shock, brand new chain and sprocket set, yoshi can, rubber installed last year and half tread remaining, brand new recovered Corbin seat, two year old battery, all fluids changed. 52k miles on the frame and should be around 20k on the motor. The one in Fort Collins looked very clean but had some tears in the seat. They said they were going to get it recovered but the stock seat needs to be reconditioned anyway to do long days. Steve Gowing in Ft. Collins is competitive with Seargent, Corbin, etc and you get a seat custom to your ass (he did the work on my 3rd gen). They claimed it was dealer maintained by them since new. The 40+k miles is not bad on VFR - TOE CUTTER just sold a 6th gen with 135k (or so) and still ran excellent.
I was up at Interstate last week and that 06 with 41K had been dropped by previous owner, broken mirror, scratched case, ripped seat, ect. I just bought two brand new crated 08's (dealer leftovers) for 7200 Each this weekend. One from Fae Myers and the other from Sun ( GREAT WEEKEND) Dig deaper into the search and you can find better deals out there. ;-)
