Okay, I found this thread while looking for windscreen advice. Wheres the windscreen advice?
I have toured extensively on three bikes. A kawi 1990 zr550 with homemade hard luggage, a kawi 1997 zx600C Ninja with ammo cans for luggage, and now this 2001 VFR. I have hurt on all of them, its just part of the experience for me. I had highway pegs on the firts two bikes and that helped at least as much as the throttle lock. Being able to take the weight off my wrists and sit back occasionally is a godsend.

I have a to do list for the VFR already in order of importance.
    1. Throttle lock or cruise control. The vista cruise will work if your handy with a dremel.
Also the throttle return spring can be backed off some so you dont have to fight it so much.
    2. Raise the bars.
    3. Maybe lower the pegs?
    4. A better seat, I like my Corbin. Its my 1st and it makes a difference.
    5. A windscreen that will get the wind noise off the helmet.
    6. If your handy and interested in comfort more than looks like me, highway pegs.
    7. Got some money left over? Upgrade the suspension, otherwise at least set the sag.
    8. Battery monitor.
    9. Electric heat.
    10. Raise the speed limit.
