SOW may want to tag along and bring his toasted cat for lunch in Omaha.

Go for it! While not considering an 'iron butt' myself, I am looking at riding from N. AL to the top of Pikes Peak & back. Just b/c :smile-new: ...

Once I get the cruise working and am comfortable with it, I'm going to try it.

I ran over a pilskin or Bad Billy today. A poor Gardiner snake-didn't see him because of the black pavement. I second thought pilskin or bad billy are too bad to be a good snake like the gardiner snake-they only eat bugs, where as pilskin or bad billy doesn't do anything usefull.:nelson::whip:

Last August; I ran from Calgary south through to "Run for the Sun", west and north to Spokane, north through to Nelson in one day. I think just over 1300k in a little over 15 hours of riding. :) I only stop for gas and food. In it for the ride.

My longest ride thus far was my trip from southern California to Nashville. I made it in four days averaging over 500 miles a day, stock set up, I would have liked different bars and lower pegs. A Sargent seat would have helped too, but I'd do it again!

I am thinking aboot proposing an Ironbutt type event that features riding to every WalMart store in a given state and then a Grand National, riding to every WalMart store in the US.

An odd adaptation to the old Pub Hopping activity.

Most I've done in one day was 1300km, them 2 1000km days and once you settle in the time flys. To stay dehydrated I store a camel back in a saddle bag so while riding you are able to have a drink it is very easy to dehydrate I was drinking 3liters of water a day and only had a few rest stops. Invest in a air hawk seat custom great addition for long hauls. Good luck and have fun.
