Hi all, I’m new on here and would appreciate any help with this issue. I have a 1998 vfr800 fi. When I turn the lights on, the indicators are operating the opposite way around, left is right and right is left. The back lamp also goes dim and bright when the indicators are operated. The lights and indicators them selves work ok. This only happens when the lights are turned on. I have removed the cluster and tested all 17 circuits from where the plugs enter the cluster, to the end of every individual circuit and I appear to have continuity on all of them? There is slight corrosion on some tracks at the bottom of the cluster, where the little lamps go for oil, FI and neutral, but I still have continuity on my meter. Could any suggest any other issues it might be,or would it be worth getting the cluster checked properly?. Many thanks.

Not sure... how about a bad ground, corroded flasher connector, or even a bad bulb... somehow got some cross-feeding going on to affect the backlight.

Guess I’ll check the earth. One gentleman has suggested the charging circuit might not be sufficient. Thanks anyway
