Anybody know where I can get a CNC gold anodized throttle gadgets that are usually plastic and about $9.95 at Pep Boys, or should I just keep my ThrottleMeister? I am also looking for some seethrough handlebars so I can show off my Vibranators and some of that fringe with the 1 watt LEDs in the ends that are just waaay cool.

Ok, on another issue with these. Do these help with an added degree of comfort when riding or are they for looks only?

    History of the condom...

In 1572, the Scots invented the condom, using a goat's lower intestine.

In 1873, the British somewhat refined the idea by taking the intestine out of the goat first.

Or it may answer the question of "Who pinched Spike?"

May I suggest the HD condoms with fringe or the glow in the dark set of seven that comes with its own UV lamp? All are imprinted with the bar and shield on one side and 'XXX" on the other side.

depending on the product you get they can help with comfort, as many of them add the ability to adjust the peg position. So you can move the pegs up/down & forward/back & and change the angle on some so you point your toes more down or up, depending on what you like

see one option here, whit availible positions

Any of the ones I have seen/used the switch is fairly easy too, so if you were doing a track day or a fun ride thru some twistys, you could raise them up for clearance, then when you were doing a longer more touring oriented ride, lower them for comfort

They can change the experience a little, depends what you do. The rear sets for instance can make a bike more comfy for someone.

I think the adaptor plates you think you are seeing may be the holes drilled into the piece for the adjustability. So you have other holes for the footpegs to be mounted in depending on what you find comfy.
When I bought mine at first, they didn't fit, they were for a CBR not a VFR. I had been sent the wrong part by accident. There was no adapting, the mounting points are spaced slightly differently for the two models. At least on the high end ones. The only time I have seen them fit different models with the same rear sets is when the mounting points were the same between the models. So the ones I have seen and used, at least are not made to fit a variety of machines.
I don't know that high tensile steel is lighter than aluminum, ti, or carbon fiber. I don't think it is, but actually I don't know for sure. It would certainly have less bling factor.

Many of the adjustable ergos were not invented by HD but the idea was a HD first when it was common practice to strap a whoopee cushion to a HD seat.
