If the VFR was a car what would it be?

    early Subaru WRX... or maybe my current ride, an outback XT with a turbo and a stick. I'd like to say a Legacy GT but the suspension is more comparable to the Outback - sufficient when stock but not much better.

    well i believe that you needto analyse what makes the VFR unique in order to compare it with a car.
    heres a couple of points i came up with;
    1. a racing heritage
    2. not a current race spec chassis
    3. sporty but not hard core sports
    4. good all round ability
    5. unique engine configuration
    6.ability to haul a load easily, as required.
    7. technically advanced specs
    8. it should be a japanese car

    so my choice was this....

    definatley not the current weapon subaru uses for racing....but you can see the heritage here...

    definately japanese, with a unique engine config (4 cylinder), sporty but not hard core, plenty of room for luggage as a hatchback,
    great all rounder that is technically advanced with intercooled turbo 4wd.

    I would say the MarkVIII as well, or a Nissan Maxima. From the right area, comfy, fun to drive, luxury, the 4door sport car.

    No, I have a 4Runner.

    I was actually thinking the other day about how well the VFR compared to my old BMW e36 M3. Not the lightest, fastest, or most comfortable on the road...just a driving machine that's plenty good at everything and a pure joy to drive.

    Biased opinion, but that's my experience.
