We've all been there I remember when I found out what a "single-sided swing arm" is! Keep the spirit, Philosophy-boy! You will get abused by hard-to-the-core cycle dudes for the rest of your life. There is always a man who knows more than you, and he is your teacher. There is always a man who knows less than you and he will be your pupil. The wheel goes around. (So what. The guy asked instead of looking it up. That is not what you would do, or I would do, but f' it. Don't mock ignorance, only stupidity.)
I also have been an avid bicyclist most of my life, climber, ski racer, dirt biked 5years.Always wanted a VFR since the early '90's,test rode a few of the older gens, never bought.Took eh car trip to Canada with the gf,driving the roads around Whistler Mtn(mtb world championships)in '05.Got passed by many sportbikes, looked like too much fun,gf thought that too.Got back home, went to my dealer who had a year old '04(new) sat on it,told the shop owner...make me a deal,he did,I bought,no buyers remorse.Yo quiero mi 'Bala Roja'.I was 47yrs old,1st road bike.I just bit the bullet and took it easy learning,3 years later,my viff and me are one, still learning always.I didn't have time for the cc learning progression.Confident gripping and ripping.Everyone is different...especially me!Goodluck Pscyho,Don't be too afraid!Oh,remember the one-armed man?He was a single swingin' fugitive
Bought it with 15k on the bike. No branded title, never down, all original plastics, stainless brake lines, and a corbin. It literally looks like someone put it in a time chamber and hit fast forward to today. I've added 2k mirrors, replaced the original R/R with a stout aftermarket, a V/H custom shorty slip on, Pazzo's, heated grips, and a pro shift kit. Next up is a 530 DID chain, -1 front sprocket and +2 rear. I'm also in the process of researching suspension options. Check out the cover of the VFRworld calendar. The 3rd gen in the front is mine.:vanity: Ok... ok... I'll stop the hijack now.
