Since we are on this topic, it does seem appropriate for this thread, as politics is a real joke. Just not a funny one!

 

I was quite young through most of that and we are fairly well removed from it. But from what I do remember of it, I don't recall anyone who was for it other than some politicians and those who stood to gain financially from it. Did you have any business being there? I don't know. That damned war cause more pain and suffering for some many people it can't be imagined. But never should we ever pay disrespect to those who fought whether they were drafted into this conflict or were volunteers.

As far as Nixon being responsible for this, that is only partly true. It all started well before his time. There are many with dirt behind their ears and probably a few despicable secrets on that one.

 

I have been to Vietnam War Memorial 3 or 4 times. The design is so simple, yet is so fitting. It is something everybody needs see if at all possible. It will touch you deeply.

 

Odd how my sarcastic Dick pic that was in reply to the Squeaksicle has turned the humor thread into a political discussion.
