Metallican has now been dispatched to the Korean peninsula.

Lets review how we got here; Dude has a fine and dandy post with good pictures about a common headache many VFR owners experience.

Maybe a bit strong, "sit your ass down and drink coffee while I school you guys - now tell your mods to pin it"

    OK noob.

All that is ignored while I toss out "battery tender" into the mix.

Crusty asks, "how's that affect the RR"

    Tink explains

Noob says, "you're bananas" Noob could have said, "hrm, whatever, moving on"

Noob continues to say :bs: without any valid points to defend his position.

Anytime you walk into a social environment, i.e. new employer or a party and act like your shit don't stink, people are going to raise eyebrows and see where the hot buttons are.

As far as the original post goes, it's all good stuff and I've planned for months to do the same, minus the fan, when I take the bike down again to finish up some of the decals and paint that didn't get finished properly last spring.

aha.. so thats what pissed you off. SOOO sorry!
hate to say it.. but when it comes to VFRs i am not a noob.. this post is something i posted on other sites where i have over 6000 posts combined. not to mention i have owned ever vfr except the 7th gen.
after dealing with my post here.. and seeing the same thing a few years ago.. is the reason i dont use this site much.. the main reason i posted on here is because a pal asked me too. as he is banned from VFRD and and some suzuki forums.
clearly posting good info is still not wanted here... so i will stop posting anything about my other mods .. custom rearsets for 3rd /4th gen ' custom sub frames , custom fairing brackets..etc etc basically dropping 20 lbs cheaply. no worries.. no posts mean no arguments[IMG]

Oh NO! WHAT HAVE WE DONE!!!!???

Please grace us with your presence!

Don't act like a know it all douche and I'm sure everyone would be interested in seeing VFR mods. I'll be interested to see if your ego is capable of that.

no thanks, my pal fixed his bike and now its charging and all set to go. and i send him a CD full of how to stuff the my ego came up with.. wow, my ego must be massive.. after all i snubbed you guys for so long.. what was i thinking? i mean less than 40 posts in 4 years.. surly i could have shared my stuff and the pix of my bikes that have gotten into over 50 magazines.

oh yeah.. i remember now.. i saw the same attitude towards other members 4 years ago..
i am the kinda guy that helps other people out.. clearly this is not the place for that.

okay...lets just all take three deep breaths.....(thats what aI tell my four year old)

Gll, look you may have all the experience in the world on VFR's and other such machines, and your knowledge of them may be flawless. but really, wehn you started this thread which is appreciated by the way, might have been a bit strong... folks took the sit down and grab a cup of coffee ...... was taken in the wrong context...you may have meant to say sit sown grab a cup of joe cause this is a llong thread...blah blah blah..... even if you have been here for four years your an unknown entity, I don't remember you around at all the last almost three years (sorry if we have talked but memory is bad) think of how you would feel if a "noob" cam on a site that you frequentedalmost daily and ran a line like you did? it kinda seems like a new dog in the neighborhood trying to piss on everyone's wheaties.... hope you can see where I am coming from...the guys here are really good dudes. (I have a few that I don't like, but hey thats a forum for you) but the help that has been distributed around since I have been here is astronomical, free help free parts and even free labor(or modified payments for that matter) ytour choice to leave but I think you oughta stick around.....

    My .02 cents

    Crusty

If he's half as good as he thinks he is, he would stick around and and prove it rather than delete his post to run and hide.

It's easy to "know-it-all" if you only submit your ideas in places where people bow at your feet. Submitting your ideas where people are likely to ask questions and challenge your point of view is where the courage is at.

I can let it go, it's not like there's a bulls-eye on his back as far as I'm concerned.
