58 years old. just made my 3rd payment on a 2015. i traded in my 07 kawasaki zzr 600 on it. the interceptor is so much more bike. smoother, has about the same horse power rating but the honda feels so much stronger. also my neck doesnt kill me if i ride long distances.put a delkavic pipe on it. what a great sound this bike has. i was worried i was going to be sorry to let the zzr go, but not even a little bit. had 48000 miles on the zzr.

    I'm 64 but according to Oprah's True Age Test, I'm 89. I did a Iron Butt 1500 in June. Here's my ride. image.jpg

All you young "whippersnappers" don't have to worry about being too old. I'm 73 and just sold my Yamaha FZ1 and bought a new 2014VFR. IN FACT I DRIVE IT HOME TOMORROW!!

I know that riding a bike keeps me young. Of course I just found out today that I'm riding a "high performance" motorcycle and insurance rates go up. Oh well, what price , youth?
Of course I also have a wardrobe of matching leathers and boots.

If I stop riding, I'll die! And if I die WHILE riding, I'll be happy! I'm grateful for every moment I'm given. Been through many bikes: 1969 Triumph Tiger, 73 850 Norton Commando, 7? BMW R75, 73 BMW R90S European model, Kawasaki ZRZ1100 Eddie Lawson, Honda VTX1300, BMW F650GS, Yamaha FZ1, and now the 2014 VFR.

If you're not movin forward, you die!

That bizarro reason is because, that is a ST1100 windshield. It also has helibars, panniers and lowered pegs off of a ST1100. I call her my"STiffer". It's got about 29k. I actually ride her mostly when I know I'm going to be encountering a lot of dirt or gravel. She's a lot easier to pickup than my ST or Wing.

59 here. Been riding Harley's, sport bikes, and ADV bikes since 1973. Not slowing down anytime soon. Life on two wheels (no matter what kind) is better than life in a car. I've driven my truck 5 times since June, and only when I had to haul something or go to the store to pick up something that wouldn't fit on any of my bikes.

67 here. Own my 08 for 4 years. Went to LA and back from Milwaukee last September. Second time for that trip. Can't tell you how much fun that was. But not as much fun as racing my 800 Ducati........yeah, need to slow down some day!

I would be glad to but every time I go through the process of adding a photo and describing the bike, I hit the button to reply, the dang site says I'm not logged in and all is lost. My patience has logged off! Back to lurking.

You're all kids!!!! I'm 67 1/2 and have been riding since I was 17. Now have a new Gen 8. Rode a Gen 3 for many years. Best bike I've ever owned....never any major problems and took me many miles and on many adventures throughout Western US.

Coming up on 72 in a month or so, trying to keep my age and my average speed the same, we will see how long that lasts!

Young motorcycle dudes tell me it's an old man bike.
Women my age say it looks too sporty (until they get it between their legs).

    I'm 53, got this one (6th gen) at 46.

Funny thread. I'm from Sweden and here I get the feeling it's an "older guy's bike" (where older is over 35 I guess :D). That's because it's not a CBR1000 or R1 or something similar. I'm turning 40 next year and had my license for a year now. Just bought the bike a couple of weeks ago and I just love it. Switched from an ER6N, which I also liked but wanted something bigger to carry luggage for example.

    Im not a kid

Im no "kid". I suppose that was intended to make you feel better as an elder, it seems.
I have been riding since I was 13 years old and had a bike almost the whole time. I know how to ride and protect myself, riding safely. The reference to "Older" is relative of course.
Im 53 and dont feel old nor out of shape. I rode this past weekend 13 hours, was caught in the rain and clocked around 900 miles over five days. I can still ride well.
