You may be on to something here. I have been scratching my head trying to see how to reduce the weight of my VFR. I've thrown everything off that is not necessary and the bike is still too heavy. The easiest thing would be for ME to drop about 15 pounds.

I think that's where they say the easiest weight losses are... I could stand to lose 15 lbs, but that's pushin it without becoming a rail.

most of my life I hovered from 150lbs to 160lbs. when the wife got pregnant I matched her pound for pound through most of her pregnancy. now about a year later I hover around 180 to 190. and I'm 5'9". Last year I started lifting weights 4 times a week in the mournings before work and started doing MMA on Monday nights. The working out was great but what really kicked my but physicaly was the MMA. That stuff really test your strength and endurance.

Mixxed Martial Arts Like in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. I had to stop for a while a few weeks ago cause I gotta have hip surgery soon. I should be back in fighting and riding shape by summer.

    Update

I started this diet in November at 239 lb, on 3/15/07 I was 204 lb with only 5 lb to go to get to my goal and desired weight of 199.

I left for vacation on 3/15/07 to New Orleans and did a mini tour of Louisiana, fell in love again with Cajun cooking and devoured every thing in sight from Spicy Gumbo, Oyster Po-Boys, Crawfish & Shrimp fried every way you could imagine and topped it of with Bread pudding which is a lot better than it sounds for all the California people out there. Too make matters worse, I'm not usually too big of a drinker and drank these drinks called Hurricanes like I was a heavy metal guitarist, ended up that night making a lot of promises to the wife that I couldn't keep because of "Bed Spins" if you know what I meen.

To make a long story short, I arrived in Seattle 3/23/07 and the first thing I did was weigh my self and it confirmed my self diagnosis 213 lb  :tsk: . Was it worth it? Hell yes but it probably set me back about 3-4 weeks...

This is why I love the VFR crowd. They know what to spend their money on as far as mods go. RVFR is a good photo guy and he rides really well for his age.

south beach is great. remember carbs hold water in your body .after two weeks (.the tough part ) the carbs are gone so the weight loss is not as dramatic. but still fantastic.Change your lifestile now.start a fun activity that gets your blood flowing as early in the morning as posible.
bike, jog ,pushups in your cell. what ever It keeps the calories burning all day remember burn more calories than you eat and out loose weight.

well I lost 20 pounds and passed my Level III skiing exam at Killington on Mon and Tues. I am one step closer to being a ski god now. Had a blast and can't wait to get on the road again. Skiing will be over soon and the riding season will begin.

This thread is funny. But truely kids are the worst thing for gaining weight. You would think that with all the running around you do you would lose weight but oh it ain't so. Before kids 175 to 180lbs and 5' 11'' and in great shape after 200 to 205lbs and out of shape so probably more like 30lbs of fat gain. Pass me another beer and chips so I can drown/feed my sorrows.... and to make it worse my wife actually lost weight with the first kid. Still spring is here so back to climbing the local mountain trails.

I remember my ex-wife left the hospital after our son was born wearing her size 3 jeans, then she did it again after our daughter. her nurse said 'i hate women like you' ;) My new wife also is of a slim persuasion... I guess I just like em thin...
