No, you're normal. I've currently got 9 bikes total. My 1986 collection took me 10 years to restore and the dirt bikes are constantly torn down every winter. I am looking for a new project though. I'd love to find a 1993 CBR900RR.

No No No you are the one with the right idea! They may carry the same VFR badge but they are all different wonderful beasts!

My garage is empty so I think I'm the one who is all messed up!

I am in heavy negotiations on a 2007 RWB project though so hopefully in two weeks I will have a build thread to start! Hopefully I didn't just jinx it!

Some guys like tinkering. My grandfather had all order of mechanical and electronic stuff everywhere. It kept him sane in a racist world to have things he could control, build and fix. Luckily it paid the bills too or his marriage would have been even worse.

Reaching a mind-body focusing adrenaline rush is my passion, so I only do the wrenching to save $$$ and to bond with the bike. Seems to help us work together on the road.

I've had up to 5 at once, (and 2 were vfrs) - now I'm down to 2... for now. Mostly I can only handle 1 big project at a time, I have to focus on it to keep it moving to get it done. 2 is kinda like cant walk and chew gum at the same time, its confusing to figure what thing on what bike is hotter to focus on.

Only one work in progress at a time. Otherwise I don/t think there is a number too high so long as the space and pocket book covers it. No doubt there is a cost to repairing and restoring, but think of it this way.

Figure out how much money you put into these projects and the value of the resulting piece. Now, figure out how much time you spend on these projects. Campare that with the same amount of time in some other form of entertainment be it ball games, Beer saloons, or houses of ill repute. There is no value at the end of the day in most other forms of entertainment. What is cheaper and what is more benificial to your well being?
