About 80% of the collection is going to go on the block soon. Housemate wants to add a KTM to the stable...

2 bikes here... A Hawk GT as my city/commuter/backroad burner and a VFR750 as my sport/tourer.

At least, that's the plan... the VFR is brand new (to me) and I only put like 40 miles on it before winter set in. And the Hawk needs some time in "drydock", so I guess I'm at 1 1/2 right now...

    My 74 CB750 K4 Cafe racer project.

Seems some of us are attracted to both the great SOHCs and the V4 bikes. Im trying to track down someone who owned a V65 Sabre that was trying to sell it to me a few years ago but i have my doubts i will find them. I eventually want to get ahold of a later VFR or a CB700 SC Nighthawk.

B-4 I Moved to Utah, I had 29 bikes split between my House in Commiefornia & my House in Arizona.
Now I'm down to 16, was 15 but just p/u a clean 89 Hawk650GT for my daughter & I to play with @ the Track.

All are running & ridable except 3, 2 origanal 850 Nortons never assembled in there origanal overseas shipping crates & #'s that have consecutive manufacture #'s that are worth more kept that way, & 1 basket case all there triumph trident.
Since riding @ age 7 (now 46) I've owned well over a hundred.
Been asked why, well I answer that I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, & that a Motorcycle habit is more addictive than morphine, that I cannot, will not kick (Did I mention more expensive than them also).

    Lot's of V65 Sabre's available in Commifornia still, & older inline 4's.
ck out Recycler.com in the M/C for sale section & use 200 mile radious with zip code 90045 (LAX Airport area), I fly in, p/u, & stop by my Dad's house for a quick oil, filter, change & other adjustments if needed service, visit & ride home.
I drive down all the time to p/u screaming deals from there & trailer them back as well.

I've got just the one at the moment but I would love to add another. I don't think I will ever get rid of my little Mad Max not unless someone offered me a silly amount for it. I think the next bike will be a cruiser so me and the wife can do some touring on the weekends.

Update on the second Interceptor i mentioned. My roomate picked it up today. It appears to have one of the oiler mods done to it as well. It has braided lines leading down towards the oil filter....

I have two and a half all VFRs an original 1st gen with 47,000 miles onit. 1986 VFR700F2 in pearl white in restoraton now body work and paint runs like a scalded dog. i liked it so much ,when they came out with the 06 pearl white VFR800FI I bought one. I don't care what anyone says about the 6th gen I love mine. I am also casually looking for a yellow 2000 VFR to acquire so I can ge into the 5th gen brotherhood. so keep an eye open and let me know I am in no hurry. sorry I am a hardcore VFR nut. oh the half is an 86 fvr700 for parts. remember He who dies with the most toys wins

I've got two bikes on my ride list, but only one manufacturer. HONDA RULES!!!

For when I'm feeling fast, and want a technically precise and challenging ride, I'll hit the track or the canyon roads with the '02 Honda CBR 954.

For when I'm feeling relaxed, and want to lose myself in the ride, travel, enjoy the scenery, or bring the GF along, nothing beats the '92 Honda VFR 750.

The tour and the all sport... what more do you need? I have a feeling if I bought more bikes than that, I'd eventually find my favorites, and not ride the others.

Heh. V65 Sabres. I've ridden two into the ground, sold one that still ran, and here's a picture I took of my garage on Monday, note what's in there. :)

Unfortunately I don't own any of those Sabres. Though I do insure, maintain and store one of them, so according to the rules laid out earlier in the thread I guess I have four bikes. The three that I own are the 94 VFR, the 03 V-Strom, and the 92 TDM.

The FZ1, the CB, and the other two Sabres belong to friends who brought them over last weekend when I hosted a wrenching weekend in my heated garage.

The VFR is the newest arrival in my garage, which is what brought me here.

    Between my girl & I (5) her 85 Interceptor 500 (for sale), 05 Yamaha FZ6. Me 2000 Honda VFR800, 01 Suzuki SV650s, 05 Suzuki DR-Z400sm - I would also sell either or both of the Suzukis.

I current own 3 bikes - 1986 VF500F, 1986 VFR750F, 2007 VFR800FI (RWB). Over the last 17 years, I've owned at least a dozen, but the 1986 bikes are the only ones to stand the test of time - the 2007 will also be on that list.

If dirt bikes and snowmobiles count, then I have 3 of each, but they are not all mine. Some belong to the wife and kids.

Idealy i would like to get ahold of a newer VFR only if it has a simular riding position to the older VF. In the fall i think im going to be looking for either a newer VFR or VTR.

Another SOHC / V4 lover here. Throw in a quirky V-twin as well and a little joke of a bike. Lets say 3.25 bikes in total.

    2002 VFR800
    1983 GL650 Silverwing Interstate
    1977 CB750F2
Chinese made pocket dirt bike (got together with a bunch of buddies and bought a few pallets of these things to goof around on)

Wing is on the way out the door this spring. Once garage space allows, I'll also own a 1975 CB400F, 1979 CBX and 1983 CX650T.
