you know, another V bike I have always had a secret crush on is the VMAX. I wouldn't mind having one of those girls hanging around waiting for a flogging. They are just so naughty and I'm just the guy to spank them...

I'm afflicted with the same fetish but its easy for me to ignore it as I just don't fit well on VMAX, if someone offered forward controls for it I think I'd have to have one. I had some Vmax perf parts on my 87' Venture & for a touring rig she would get up & haul the front end get awfully light @ 110-120w/ a full fairing though

    One bike - '95 VFR
Was more bike than I needed in '95, and still is.

But it would be nice to have a full-on sport touring machine.......
and a cruiser for the local rides would be cool.........
and a thumper for the dirt.........

Hey - thanx for the suggestion. As much as I like my GoldWing the Valkyrie just seems to handle better for such a big porker of a bike. My old 83 GoldWing is an Aspenscade and has air suspension - it is a great and comfortable ride for a passenger. And Reg71 got my number with the VMax. Really great bike - It has a like it ot hate it look (and I like it), with some real horespower and sport bike type performance. It is another bike I would like to ride but not two up.

    How many bikes?

    I have 5, all modded!

Peter Egan writes that the optimum number of bikes to own is 5.

However, optimum and maximum are $$$ apart!

    VFR800
    KLX250S
    SV650S
    F650GS
    Thruxton (it's an older one....2004!)

Eclectic bunch, but I like variety!

In the stable and available to ride: 99 VFR800, 2000 CBR 1100XX, 2006 BMW K1200S. I like to swipe the housemate's BMW on cold days, heated grips!!! :thumb:

Cool. I need to ride some of those sometime. Hey, I'm supposed to go look at another bike on Thursday. Number 5 may be right around the corner. I'll keep you posted... Oh, and I'm still planning on building a bobber if I get a garage I can work in. Maybe I can borrow Tori's if we throw out those little matchbox cars he collects.

I find the Valky is happy just goofing along a 45mph and if you get a wild hair it's just as happy if you crawl up on the tank and drag your knees (and footpegs) in some twistys. It's an amazingly capable bike. I find that even bone stock thing will flat haul if you want to and be mello if you dont.

I have ridden a buddies Vmax and Whoa! What a monster machine! Another V4! The first time I rode it, I found myself kinda doing a head bob with looking up a the road and then looking down on the tank at that puny little tach. I have no idea why Yamaha put that tach there. It needs to be in the street field of view. Anyhoo what a gas! Wack that throttle and HANG ON! OMG! Great fun! Then here come a corner - I start to push on the bars and Mr Max said, "Oh, you want me to turn?". I'm like, "You bastard, hell yes I want you to turn! I havent ridden a bike that is such work to get it to turn.

So my Vmax verdict is in a strait line - big fun, if you want to play in twistys - look for something else. Oh yeah if you get one, stock up on rear tires.

Four counting my 3 ATVs. 06 vfr abs, honda rancher 350es, 2 honda recon 250s. Wish I still had my 04 vtx 1300 but it was traded on all the ATVs to be more family oriented.

    I have a solution!

Sell at that Kiss stuff on e-bay, and I bet you will have a down payment for a 2007 VFR!

I had a similar problem...I have a movie addiction and had some action figures that needed to go! My wife found them with the comic books and was suprised "I didn;t know you collected this stuff!?" My reply: "Well if you want laid, you can't discuss, display, or show this stuff to women"!

I still have the comics, but I don't miss the other stuff at all. I thought I would, but once that shit is out of your life you will not regret it.
