The biker looked to have his head down during the rage part of his ride.
He only seemed to look up when it was too late.
Never argue with a car when on a motorcycle. The car will always win.

We can "if"this all to death but you are spot on. you should be following at a distance and speed that is safe. Biker made no mention of the car in front of the Acura. He should have seen that too and anticipated something about to happen. There was absolutely tonnes of opportunity for this rider to have avoided this collision. Regardless of the Acura driver was possibly DUI, Regardless if he had no license. Regardless of just about anything that was said in that post. Car vs bike...bike looses. Rider is extremely lucky and needs to get his head out of his ass. That was not put there by the Acura driver.

Do you guys ever look threw the windshield if possible of the car in front of you? Made it a habit after driving rigs for over 20 years and seeing how many people do not watch further then the car in front them.
#1 the motorcyclist was a accident waiting to happen IMO---

That is routine. Ether that or I am riding either side of the car looking around it if at all possible.

"Eejit" may be the more popular spelling. A term among Scots and Irish when describing The English and certain of domestic newly elected sorts and of course, anyone who buys a Harley.

I actually couldn't tell one way or the other with the idjit's Photobucket video, but the trucker's video revealed all.

I can't say I've never "exploded" onto a freeway like that, but most of us grow up (eventually)! I wonder if he will continue to believe his initial take on the events, or might he realise that his perception was inaccurate?

    Ciao,

I believe we've all to some degree just because we're more flexible in traffic that and add most bikes can out accelerate and slow down faster when getting on the freeway quick, thats is one thing doing it in control. To cut over like how he did with that kind of attitude and tuck not watching whats up in front of you. Crazy. He could have been way worse, if not dead, then for him to go on and on, on the forum where he posted this. just nuts. Glad he's not on a bike now if that's the way he acts.

Yeah, I finally saw his video.

Fuck Photobucket with ads popping up everywhere, by the way.

Anyway, he made the mistake of thinking since he was merging, he owned the lane. LOTS of people do this. They seem to think, if they turn on their signal, they now own the lane someone else is in.

A major rule of the road is that you aren't supposed to pull into traffic so as to cause a danger to the cars already in the lane. In California, and a lot of other states, even if the guy is speeding it's still your fault for unsafe incursion. A 2 lane dive, almost right in front of a faster moving car, is 100% motorcycle asshole's fault.

That said, I can see why he thinks it was the other guy. The narcissism that pervades today's society is truly remarkable. I almost hit a kid on a skateboard two weeks ago crossing the street, against the red light, at night. I was in the left turn lane and there was space between me and the car that was waiting -- I hadn't arrived when it was red so I was still moving and straight traffic had stopped. This kid appears out from in front of a big truck after the first car had gone. I had to swerve right not to hit him.

He flipped me off and called me a "fucking asshole" when I looked over my shoulder at him. Goddamned narcissistic kid can't for a moment take blame for almost injuring or killing us both by crossing against a red light.

This motoretard is the same way, calling the guy he almost hit and then rear ended an asshole.

I don't care if the guy was drunk, I don't care if he was speeding. It was HIS lane since he was in it. The tail lights are a different story, but the biketard shouldn't be allowed to drive in traffic in the first place. None of that was the car driver's fault.
