US market was Super Hawk. This is a Hawk (GT)...

 

In Japan, that was the Honda Bros and I had 2 of them as grey imports. Good little bikes. My first I gave to a friend when I upgraded to a Triumph. He crashed it and permanently lost the use of his testicles. (They hammered a figure of 8 into the steel tank as a final act of rebellion). My second one was stolen and turned up a full 6 months later at the bottom of my garden with half the electrical system missing.
I liked them, really good little bikes... but not enough.

 

I met the wife for lunch. On the way back I had a spill so I couldn't work on the VFR. I was pretty close to getting her starting, I reckon so that was really annoying.
I took a shortcut which had a semi-concealed old railway track in it. I slid along the shallow point and the bike slid out beneath me. Banged my leg up but not broken. I doubt I'll get time again this week now...
