HD is a very sophisticated outfit at the top. They sort of blew it when they put in that ex-parts guy as CEO over Blustein.

What the sharpies at HD did was implant in the minds of a whole bunch of dudes that they could go out and buy a Harley, ride it for a couple of years then sell it for more than they paid for the thing in the first place.

If it's fact that HD only owns 49% of Buell and Eric Buell owns or controls the majority interest IMO Buell is far from dead.

Those "Blasts" on the half mile and the mile were the fastest pushrod thumpers I have ever seen. Doubtful one could get one of those for a few hundred.
