Have you noticed the changes.

None of the policies surprise me. My father and my uncle were both involved with domestic counter intelligence during the Vietnam War and cold war, and their main focus was universities and protest. This is just the same story on a different day. People refer to the conflict we're in now as the "War" in Iraq. It IS NOT a WAR. There has been no congressional war declaration made. This is simply the president side stepping the checks and balances and basically doing whatever he wants. It is very much the same as the Korean Conflict, as there was never a declaration of war in that conflict either. Most civilians don't realize what a declaration of war is or how it effects the powers of politicians. Bottom line is that the American public believes that their vote matters, yet it doesn’t, even the people who do vote only vote for what they’ve been told. Most voters never bother to do their own research. If you have to be rich to be a president then there is something inherently wrong with that.
Hell, most of the general public doesn't even know that we are fighting against soldiers in Afghanistan that we trained. Bin Laden was trained and outfitted by the U.S. Army during Afghanistan's war with the USSR... We made this bed now we have to sleep in it.
I realize that I have addressed several touchy issues here, and I will remove myself from this soap box now.

 

so exactly what does one cancelled television special have to do with supposed FEMA camps of supposed horror???

 

A lot of these posts isn't the "sky is falling, it is more the "sky is being closed up upon us" with spooky music playing in the background.

 

Uhh, just because you read something on the 'net, & I know you will hate hearing this, but, it doesn't make it true. Weird, I know.

I agree that you can't believe everything you read on the net, if anything. What it should do is prompt you to do your own research and come to your own decisions.

Truth is a tuff pill to swollow, and the public either doesn't want to see/hear about it, or knows about it and turns a blind eye to it. You can't get truth from your news or local papers, it takes a more in depth approach than that.

Just like you point the finger at the previous links, you can be just as justified in pointing the finger at the American government and media.



Sorry, this is a bit of a touchy subject for me. I lost a few friends in Afghanistan, and the more I research and learn about the situation this country is in, the more I regret their loss of life. Not because we defended our country but because we were fighting the very soldiers that my unit had trained 10yrs earlier. Until your at a service with children who will not know their father, and widows who will raise their children alone, you will not understand what these men sacrificed. I was lucky; I was in one of the best units that the U.S. Army has at it's disposal. There isn't enough money or patoriotism in the world to get me to do what many of our fighting men and women do. ...and that is go to war out gunned, understaffed, and out trained. better know as our national guard. Many of them now have more fight time than me and my wife combined. My wife caught a piece of a mortor blast in her eye, She's harder than woodpecker lips.

With the size of our growing deficit combined with the growing cost of Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and the insane amount we spend on the military I am very worried about where we will be financially in 20 to 30 years. If we don’t do something about partisan politics very soon so that these issues can be addressed; our grandchildren are going to be screwed.

 

I am worried about what is going to happen by the end of 2008.

One thing I notice. Most polititions if it is a man he was a lawer . If it is a woman than most where teachers. I have to go with the idea of NO carier polititions and or term limits . I think people from the private sector that have jobs in buissness world should serve the country and lead .Not just do a job.
