One thing I didn't mention before, but have had to tell people before is not to put their hands on my shoulders. It only takes one time before you put the kibosh on that. It feels really weird and lets them steer.

Here's my wife and I at the press event in Santa Barbara last year:

    Looking good Reg!

That 1200 doesn't look as big once you get people on it.

Good Lord! I read my post in that thread. I really need to proof read what I write before I submit. I sound like a Neanderthal.

My girlfriend and I have rode 2up for over 22 years. (we met in HS). She is by far the BEST person i've ever had on the back of my bikes. I heard a rule way back then, and it still applies to this day.

Nipples do not deviate from shoulder blades.

I lean, you lean with me, no more, no less.

Pay attention. Yes, you are a spectator, AND a rider. You are a viable part of this operation!

She & I just rode 290 miles thru the foothills and around Tahoe yesterday. We had an oshit moment (huge gravity cavity in the shade that went unseen). WHen things like this happen, ride thru it and we'll discuss my pace later. At that moment isn't the time to sit up, lean back, or otherwise protest. In other words, don't panic.

    Thanks smiley.

It's really not a huge bike. The displacement throws you off, I think. It rides and handles like a much lighter bike. Much like my 800, once you are above parking lot speeds, the handling is a dream. I enjoyed the test ride, and if I were in the market for a larger displacement sport-tour rig, it would be on the short list. You never know. Maybe I'll be tooling round on one one of these days...

Good stuff Greg. Been riding with my girl for more than thirty years. We waste no time in the twisties, have had many 'moments' and not been down at all. If we get in a little deep, she'll even hang off a bit (if I do). Riding with a good partner is really an enjoyable activity, isn't it!?

It is alot of fun! She rides her own bike (an 87 VFR 700) about 1/2 the time, the rest of the time, we like sharing the roads together.

Bad Billy's top ten two up talk.

    1. Buy your own bike if you want to ride.
    2. Repeat this as many times as necessary to get it. Nine times is nice.

With that said, there are folks I don't particularly like sharing the road with either. The list exceeds ten.

Two of note to get started:

    Cagers on cells.
Cagers driving with a fucking dog on their laps.

By saying that there are some sob sisters here who will interpret your post to mean you are anti-communication and cruel to animals or will need to explain in 500 words or more why all that kind of shit is okey-dokey.. ;)

In Australia we warn about White Volvo drivers with Lawn Bowls hats on, many lives lost to this random driver breed.

I think that Elena Bobbit chica was a scissors sistah or maybe it was pinking shears or even those Fiskars sets.

So is Chaz Bono worsted wool, pile, synthetic or Astroturf..:)
