And when you do get some grab rails fitted you may find the Givi brackets that attach to the top of them need a little bend to align with the givi top plate

I Strongly recommend placing all the bolts and nuts into place and leaving slightly loose enough to be able to wiggle it all into place before doing up the bolts

And lay all the bolts and washers out as they are to be mated to make sure they are all present and correctly paired (I am sure some Italian's drink red wine for breakfast and things can be a bit incorrect )

Also the bolts / nuts are metric

You should of gotten four thick spacers that insert into the handle bolt area to raise up for the bracket that attaches to the top of each handle. Maybe in the meantime you can use them.
Fiddle with it, it might work.

Spacers or aluminum tube from HD then cut to the length that fits.

    Good idea and thanks Duc

    side Note:

Like above suggestion: Place nuts in place but leave them loose to get Plate installed little easier.
look at wire color and connection adapter. I thought they should be faced same way but not.

Those are standard JST connectors used in RC (radio controlled) servo wires. Someone did not crimp them in the right order, nor did they supply you with the bit that keeps the two pieces locked together. :(

Well done that looks really good

The widest part of the bike is the mirrors/handle bars the Givi bag hasn't caused me any problems with lane splitting in traffic

And believe me they will try and take you out by drifting into your space on purpose here in Brisbane (even though splitting /filtering is legal here under 30km/h)

I have even had 1 person get out of their car looking for a fight at a set of lights after I filtered past to the front of the Queue

He was red in the face and spitting whilst YELLING at me as to how illegal it was and then the lights changed and he was left standing amidst the moving cars
