Wear pattern is normal. 32/32 was what I used, as recommended by the track day tire supplier, tires were Pirelli. Your suspension was shot a long time ago....A couple things to consider, having the fork preload adjusters cranked all the way down, doesn't mean that it is stiffer. The spring rate will be the same, it is the ride height that is being adjusted. Chassis geometry and suspension setup does come into play and will affect how the tires wear.

Put the flapper valve back in your airbox :potstir:

I'm agreeing with the camp that said shot suspension that's not tuned right for you.

I've never heard anyone complain after throwing a few hundred bucks at their suspension. I can't think of anyone who tried raising the rear a few mm over stock that didn't like it either. Find a local suspension guru who will meet with you.

Doing a track day is great, but does the track day org 'teach body position'? Some do and some don't. Also, there is a difference between a track school and a track day. I again recommend a school that teaches body postion as part of their course.

But first, get your suspension sorted and to piggy back off NCB and Tink, find a local (or as local as possible) suspension guru. The best thing I ever did was take the TZ125 forks to my local guru at Speedwerks in Dover, Delaware. The owner Steve and his main mechinic have years of racing, building and tuning two strokes. He knows the TZ's very well. He knew the weaknesses in the stock forks and addressed it. Yes, I could have done the work myself but there is a flaw in the valving, or I should say the valving wasnt designed for 'heavier' American riders. They had a fix for that and I walked out of the shop with 100.00 less dollars in my pocket but a smile ear to ear once I got the front dialed back in. I had no idea about the valving issues and it isn't on the internet. That was hard earned knowledge that shop had from racing these bikes.

If you can't find a local shop you are not far from Traxxion Dynamics in GA or check out Chuck at Performance Cyclewerx or Cyclewerks. CHuck is moving to a larger location and does work for AMA.

    Enjoy!
