Only question is why, the gen 6 already has too much light output!

I have all standard 55W bulbs, and almost never use HB because it's so bright
reflections from roadsigns dazzle me.. and I routinely get flashed by oncoming
vehicles who think my HB are on.

And yes, they are properly aimed.

I was quite happy with the visibility for me that the OEM bulb put out as far as being able to see well in the dark. I switched to the HID after seeing Digitallyhip arrive at BC Ferries slip from about 1/4 mile away with his HID during the daylight. I wanted to be as visible as I could possibly be during the daytime, when we are actually the most invisible. There is no mistaking those HID for that purpose.

And Yes, I also got a lot of flashing on the highways at night time with the OEM low beams. I think what is happening there not that a person is being blinded, more that when they see two headlights on a bike, they automatically assume we are running both high and low beams. Truckers were always flashing their back up lights at me. A quick flash of the highs told them I was running just the lows. That would be the end of it.

BTW. Someone coming at you with their high beams on blinding you? Don't look at the light direct. Look at the road directly in front of you or slightly to the right. (left if you drive in a country where you drive on the left) That will reduce the glare considerably. That is just a habit one should try to get into. Even looking to the side a bit, you will still see the road in front of you in your peripherals. Unless of course, you are looking out at 90 degrees.

I know the road signs can be bright, but I have never had them reflect back at me so bright that it bothered me even though my eyes are quite sensitive to bright light. Maybe yours are just more sensitive than mine. We are all different.

I've been driving for 34 years and i do look to the right. Maybe my eyes are more sensitive and thats what you need to take into account. They have laws for a reason it isn't just for you its for the safety of all

For me, 45 years...legally. Can't say for sure the other kind of driving. Probably near about the same circumstances as you. Couldn't reach the pedals prior to that.

You could. Then again, you could down there too. Now whether you would or not is another question. I've been running illegal lights for a few years now and never had a problem even though I have been stopped in Washington and California. The other day was my second stop here, but the first time around I was running OEM. Rather fast I might add.

P1010242.jpg Why not use the second best lights that you shouldn't get a ticket -brighter than stock yet no problems with current draw. Don't know if it work have helped but Rabbitt bite the dust maybe because his stock lights just wasn't bright enough for a car to see him. It was the worst year ever here for motorcycle accidents, main reasons- no helmet, poor lights, tired rider who didn't take a break-many other reasons. :peep:
