I support both of those since without some protest, the USA is headed for a facist police state with the loss of civil liberties because of mostly-imaginary enemy threats and don't know why someone from down under has a problem with that ?? We don't have a ruddy girl running our country 'round 'ere, so ??

Chinese wheels will likely come with Chinese cheap wheel bearings and Chinese-made tires too. Let's see some quality standards, quality measurements on the critical components, including the metalurgy. Half-price bearings don't save any money if they wear out twice as fast as OEM and consider the additional time and effort. Are there two "L's" in metallurgy, maybe ? Just sayin, and i've seen lotsa Chinese products, but most are prone to failure cuz of "quality defects,", don't last long, and i don't want those in a safety-critical part made in China........YET. From what i've seen so far, i'm not poor enugh to risk my dear, precious ass on a set of Chinese balls.

Sadly, more AMERICAN JOBS lost in a continuing trend.............unto "judgement day."

According to a few of my key, trusted employees, it's pronounced "Moose-lim"...and they really dig their faith I tell ya.
Coincidentally, because I pay them well, any of them would kill for me if I asked... the ones I know are loyal to a fault and generally content? <---Said like Ron Burgundy (when his script was altered).
I don't think they'd be very good at running a huge country though...

Not that Obama's a bad guy, he's just running on programs loaded into his chips by Wall St., the short-term profits of the Fortune 500, the major donors, the defense industry and the lobbyest industry like a puppet in the hands of the boards of directors and their purchased legislators who get the payoffs in "campaign contributions" for the contracts they dole out to ranking EX-military-connected retiree tripple- dippers on boards of directors, so the money goes round and round and a few profit.

...and he's still cleaning up after eight years of GWB and crew.

Damn near forgot. Lets blame him for bringing the troops home from Iraq too.

    Back on topic,

Funny this Thread should rear its head, a friend at work just got his first road bike. After 10 years of owning and bashing Fire trails on Registered Off road bikes like Yamaha WRs and KTMs he was asking what I thought of some mid sized road bikes like the new CB400F, SV650S, Ninja 650R etc which I thought were all good choices and worth test riding he then turned around and bought a base HD 883 ?

After my shocked reflex of " Thought you were buying a real bike ? " he answered " what instead of a Jap bike ? " my next retort was " I'd rather have a 100% Jap bike to 1/2 a Chinese one "

Was nice to forward the above HD Linky re Chinese wheels to him.

90% of Hardley owners are people who know next to nothing about motorcycles. Basically, H-D is a company which thrives on ignorance and image.

Tink, compared to the sheer nonsense on the H-D forums, most of the others seem like bastions of intellectualism.

Well I'd compare it to the houses of congress. There are dipshits, dumbasses, and assholes on both sides. The worst of each group are the ones that stand out the most. Everyone wants to point a finger and go, "SEE! They're all idiots."

    glass houses, stones.

I beg to differ, you cannot convince me that owners of Harley Davidson motorcycles are unaware of other brands. If this were the case I could claim credit for just now coining the phrase " Jap-bike"

If by ignorant, you meant mechanically ignorant, well, thats different, since all bike owners other than Hog owners are goddamn mechanical wizards.

As for companies that survive on ignorance and image, try Walmart. Alice Walton is worth 21 billion dollars. Half her employees are eligible for food stamps. We taxpayers need to make up the difference she would have paid in taxes because she's a "job creator"

I know you really don't feel that way and just want somebody to start the joke about the old native chief who got crushed by a falling chair so you can say, "people who live in grass houses, shouldn't stow thrones."
