Oh, and stop riding the bike until you get that RR done. Those toasty looking connections are dangerous. Unless you want a fire! That happened to someone on this board I think. I do know a person on a Nighthawk whose RR / Stator connection caught on fire.

My 03 runs hot in traffic, the long traffic light cycles and 35mph traffic are killer. I installed a heavy duty solid state relay (available at Frys) to parallel thermal switch in radiator to control fans. I rarely let it get above 200.

Good choice on the R/R from roadster cycle. I rewired the output of mine with 2 #10 wires back to battery, eliminating Honda's double wiring scheme to compensate for poor load carrying of connectors. I also hard wired stator leads to their input connector (requires short extension wires). This eliminates to two main failure points due to faulty connectors.

Check your overflow tank, make sure it has coolant. Change coolant and "Burp" system to get rid of air. Note, temperature readings come from sensor in the middle of the engine, the radiator fans are controlled by a thermal switch on the radiator!
