I got mine in April 2013. I've seen red & yellow around town...
BTW, I've been looking for touch-up paint but no luck. Any idea where to look for it?

I've never been a big fan of green on motorcycles, but leave it Honda to come up with the right shade of green. That is a beautiful color on that bike!! I really like it!!

Strange to read old threads like this and wonder where the OP is today and what they are riding. It's been six years since stufly posted on the forum.

Hi, VFRIRL, I like the gold wheels. Very nice touch. Mine are still stock. I've added a corbin seat. More comfy...Also I got me a Daugherty's CBR929 shock that I plan to install over the winter. I broke my screen in June when I low-sided while manually maneuvering her in my sister's garage. I got a MRA double bubble screen & have to install it. I'm thinking of getting a new upper cowl because mine is cracked around the mirror base & the mounting points for the windscreen are broken...

I looked around my place for used parts dealers. 5th generation models parts are hard to find...Hope you'll get to decide what pattern/scheme to go for. And here, we have about 10-20 cm of snow on the ground. So no riding for me until next April...The VFR is hibernating in a heated garage. A bit of pampering won't harm her.
Your mid-pipe looks quite shiny. Is it an aftermarket one? You can see mine looks worn. I want to change mine for a delkevic stainless but I'm not very mechanically handy...I can't help spending money on my VFR, just to keep her running well & longer. I just don't have any liking for any recent models bikes...

    Hey Nookiaz

Having done a swap for a Delkevic stainless on my bike I can say with honesty that it is brutally easy. I think all you need is a 12mm socket wrench and box end wrench to remove the stock can, and then the same wrench as well as a 5mm Allen key to install the new Delkevic. The only trouble I had installing mine was that it took a bit of fussing to get the pipe to line up straight with the body work from front to back.

Sorry, I seem to divert from the subject of this thread, but no word from the original poster so I don't feel so bad :) Anad thanks VFRIL & Mr. Z for the replies. If I ever decide to go with the Delkevic, there won't be any re-mapping with the ignition mapping, Just swap & go. Is there an oxygen sensor on the exhaust collector? Must be since it's FI...
