I can't agree more. Higher tire pressure will help tire life and fuel mileage. Also consider load weight; higher weight, higher tire pressure. Handling characteristics, I can't say, as I mainly commute.

36/42 is perfect for me. I have a little over 2k on my set, just did a three day trip to the Tail of the Dragon, and they just keep getting better.

I've been using the stock pressures (36 front and 42 rear) and my wear has been great. I did talk to a Michelin rep at a track day this weekend and he recommended pressures for my pr4s: street pressures (warm tires) of 34 front and 32 rear. At the track, hot pressures should be 28 front, 26 rear. I'm not sure if I'll keep it stock or follow what the rep said. Thoughts?

33,36 for me potholes and bad roads and tippy top heavy-means higher air pressure- just doesn't work well. I have tried a lot of different air pressure-on the highway-I would raise it by a least 34,37 might work well on highway! Also adj for saddlebags.:tyrannosaurus:

I just got a tire order as well, 2 rears and 1 front of Dunlop gt501s. No longer made. They'll be the last for my VFR before I have to run Avons or something else. : (
