Getting a feel for a Poconos ride.

Outstanding! Although I did forget that its mothers day... But fear not. That sweetheart of a woman I married gave me the thumbs up anyway!

Put me in for tentative on this one. Saturday is my free day but mother nature is apparently pissing all over us. I have some late afternoon BBQin but so long as its a morning ride on Sunday i may be able to swing it. Going to see if a buddy or two will join. For you purists, they are non viffers but they dont bite... at least anymore than i do...

Pliskin- Trying to get my arse out on a mt bike trail tomorrow morning but if that doesn't pan out maybe we can do an slightly early lunch. I've got furniture coming from "12:24pm to 3:24PM" for whatever retard thought up that time frame. I'll hit up your cell and let you know either way tonight.

Lots of really hot chicks in Honesdale!!! Well maybe not, but the grilled meat makes up for it. I think my wife wants me home this Sunday but I am definitely in when you go again.

It’s actually a nice little town, friendly folks there. Had lunch at an Italian restaurant on the main drag. Was there last month and stopped at some place called "Rusty Palmers" huge cycle showroom, then onto route 6.

May be back to cross the Roebling bridge into New York. I hear it’s a nice ride on the New York side then onto route 209 south heading back to Berks County.

 

I'm in! What time and where Steve. Any chance of doing that suspension set up thing for me. I was going to call you today and talk to you about that.

 

I'll let you guys make the call as far as time and place. I'd probably like to be back by about 3pm, so I take the woman to dinner for mothers day.

alright i got me Plus 1 tomorrow... meetin with him at the dunkin donuts at rockaway mall and then headed over. Hope all this wind diddnt knock too much stuff on the road...

 

Well I didn't think any one else would show. Nope Den and Pil you guys are troopers. That was a cold ass ride. Met at the info center and headed north onto some great roads. The wind from last night caused me to feel beaver-esque at times......kinda' like tossin' the "difficulty B" switch. No worries every thing was navigated..... until Ed lost his bodily motor skill functions due to lack of blood flow to and from his frozen brain. Good time to stop and coffee up,warm are arses and figure out how long the flat-landers would last in the snow. It was then 34 and snowing in Dingmans Ferry. Unanimous decision lead us down off the hill back along the river and then south,where it did warm a bit.....43. Well about another hour of that did me in and one final stop and off the boys go. Thanks for coming up again and next time we'll hope for warmer temps and clean roads.

All in all not a bad day. Much better once we got off that mountain top! Sorry we were a little late in showing up there, Pocono.

I'm sure that the next ride will be just a tad warmer.

Good god... summer gear reguarless of layers was useless. even those latex gloves (that i stole from McDonalds while making you wait at the welcome center lol) under my gaunlet gloves did nothing. I was missing shifts n such... was frickin cold... screw that noise! That was officially my first snow ride though. Thanks for taking us out!

In my defense to the wait, i screwed up my and missed the gas/food exit n did a 20 mile u turn. sucked. Mah bad... Owe u a beer... or something warmer if its cold again.

That was my fault.
