I would like to get a feel for a possible ride in the Poconos this year. The two weekends that I was thinking was either the last weekend in August or the Second weekend in Sept. I know many from the northeast forum will be attending Seb's ride including myself but last years ride was fun and this year I've taken the liberty to find a house for the weekend......with paint ball. Yes you can walk to the battle field from the house. The house will sleep fifteen comfy....well sixteen 'cause Timmy doesn't mind cuddling with a bud or a teddy bear.Meet Friday night or Saturday morning but I'll secure the house for Friday through Sunday. The house is five minutes off Rt.80 at the base of Camelback Mt.Ski Resort.

Thinking of a loop in the 200 mile range for Saturday and then a quick blast around on Sunday morning.
    All are welcome.

Pocono - nice, i'm sure they will be well scrubbed before the Pocono shananegans...

Dino- not bad man... yourself? i've been picking up hobbies n sports over the winter. Been driving and snowboarding when i really shouldnt even be on the road (always an adventure) including our most recent snowstorms. Joined an intramural dodge ball team (ya inno but should be fun), and just bought a mountain bike for some offroad two wheel action that will actually give more than my wrist a workout. so all in all not bad. I just need to stop spending all my damn money on this stuff. PS picked up a set of alpinestars SMX-5s for next season. cant wait to break em in. Gotta retire the combat boots.

    Hey DenT

Glad to see that you are keeping busy unlike the old folks (namely me) not doing anything except working. I cant wait to hit the Poconos and other points of interest this season. I like Steve's (PoconoVFR) idea of an over night trip. I just bought a new racing shock that I cant wait to get on my bike.....at least my bike will look fast  I will give you a call when the weather is getting a little better...perhaps we can do a Bear Mnt and West Point run!

Sounds kick ass. Just north of DC here, how far is it between us, about??

Hmmm, according to Google Maps, about a 4 hour tour and 200+ miles to get to you, maybe not so much fer me.........

Check the "other " forum. I think he was planning on a fall ride....first week in Oct. He also did a July Burger run last year too.

Nope Timmythecop has an iron ass. He'll ride up......always does. He hooks up with couple boys from the Lebanon Pa. area for the ride up. Good bunch.

I would consider riding up if it was the day before. Don't really wanna try to do a 200 mile fun run after slabbin it for 200+ miles allready, dosen't sound like fun, or very safe fatigue wise. I'll have to see what I got goin on as this gets closer.

I had planned on booking the house for Friday night.........let everbody ride in and get comfy on Friday. Do a good loop on Saturday. And those closer or up for a Sunday blast are more than welcome. It's a haul I know.....but it sure is fun.

Well Hello there Jersey and PA fellas, along with the other stragglers.

For those of you on the fence about heading up for this ride, I'll say this much: The roads around the Poconos are "diamonds in the rough". You won't see them on TV, read about them in magazines, etc. But there are miles and miles of outstanding roads. With the time frame that PoconoVFR is proposing, that will also be sufficient to have any potholes fixed up after this winter. So if you can make the 200+ slab, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

DenT and Pocono - Nice to hear from you guys. Hope all is going well. Fucking DenT is just rolling in it, kid! Look at you buying shit left and right.

Glad to see that our tour-guide got himself some new skins. You sure they'll last until August?

Meanwhile, Dino will be all excited to talk about all the new stuff he's bought for his bike over the winter. You get that seat clasp working, Dino?

Looking forward to spring and getting back on the road, boys.

Yea, I'm alive. I like snow, but I'm damn tired of it. This past Tuesday - 7 inches. Then on Wednesday to Friday, another 20 to 25. I can't even tell anymore.

I'm in for paintball. Lets put all the smokers on one side so we can sit and wait for the non-smokers to come to us.

Sorry Elwray - can't help you with your problems. But I'm sure they'll be fixed up before too long. Good luck!

As for the smoking vs. non-smoking, if you can run more than 50 yards without collapsing, then you go with the nonsmokers. :)
