Plastic for the 3rd Gen is hard and expensive to come by unless you are willing to settle for aftermarket body parts. Airtech Streamlining makes new bodywork for the 3rd Gen but it is unfinished and requires that the mounting points be drilled in addition to needing paint. Chances are if the bike has been down some of the fragile mounting tabs may have been broken too requiring extra work if you are planning on trying to repair the damage. The good news is that the engine has low miles and like most V4Honda motors it is well built and reliable and should last for many more years. Please report back after getting more info on the condition of the bodywork. My guess is that it must be pretty significant for the price to be so low. So, if you have to put $500-$600 into repairs you would still be getting an excellent deal assuming there is nothing mechinically wrong with the bike.

    Regards,
    Rollin

Probably going to take a look on wednesday! Looks better from 10 feet away than 1 foot away. And I guess I'd have to weigh the importance of looks.

next summer, you should have a set dropped here and I'll bet we could get Tori to mount them for free. If not, we can do them right here in my drive way. I'm pretty sure he'd be happy to do them for you, though. It would save you at least $300 but probably more...

Thanks Reg. I actually was thinking about that. Not neccessarily imposing on Tori but getting some skins. But I don't know if I can nurse what I have until then. I am damned close to needing new ones now. And with the amount of water on the freeways here, your ass sort of puckers a wee bit now and then. Those road snakes are mad in the rain. Especially at night when they sort of creep up on ya
