fuel filter on 86 vf500

    My tank is a mess inside. I'm not getting that crap in my carb passages. For a few minutes and bucks, it's a no brainier.

    Most of the sediment that gets throught the petcock filter ends up in the bottom of your float chambers. There is another little filter before the float valves too. I reckon most messed up carbs are caused by old petrol turning to jelly. ANyway if your tank is a mess no harm in a few extra filters I spose.

    Oh,man, the alcohol in the fuel is a different story. My filter is solely due to tons of corrosion in the tank. I have magnets in strategic places on the underside as well.

    I hate to resurrect an old thread like this but I was wondering which model of filter from the above link you guys used?

    Also, is the fuel line after the Y 1/4"?

    What's the easiest way to get in there to splice the lines?
