I think what you did is all wrong and the gouge in the hub can cause the wheel to crack. I love you dearly and want you to be safe and enjoy your retirement
I will take that 8 spoke from you and take the risk of killing myself. :pound:

I will swap out wheels with you for sure Long. It is the front wheel. ANd don't send me the wheel off you silver VFR from a few years back. To think I followed you splitting lanes along the Barstow Highway in 2012 thinking all along, you were a safe person on a bike.

You need a long drift, (not to be confused with someone named Long, or drifting which is done in cars and eats tyres.) A nice baby sledge hammer is a good addition too, but do not under any circumstances listen to Sledge Hammer by Peter Gabriel or Sister Sledge while working on your :scooter:

In the future, dont admit/share with us, the flagrant abuses that you inflict on poor defenseless screwdrivers fer gawds sake!!!! :mech:

Kidding aside, they should come oot pretty easy. Big hammers are good though...

My screwdrivers are not defenseless in any stretch of the imagination. They put deep burrs and gouges in my fingertips and knuckles all the time.

Best procedure involves tapping bearings, not sledgehammering. Usually, if the bearing seems to need too much force, it may be cocked sideways, so inspecting its progress going in or out evenly is a must ! Too cocked+heavy hammer can split a hub. Work the bearings out by tapping each side and by working around the edge gradually. Did anyone mention that bearings must be pressed in using force on the outer circumference ONLY ??
