I am thinking about taking the day off on Friday (4/13) and riding up to the Cherohala from the Atlanta area. Anyone interested in joining me? Please note that I will be riding a very naughty pace through some very twisty roads and do not wish to wait on anyone so if you have any chicken strips on your tires please do not respond. I'm hoping to be on the road around 8am and will be departing from the Cumming / Alpharetta area just off 400.

    Estimated Total Mileage 325

    Hi Rollin,

You are just a little too far away, and I am probably a little too cautious a rider to join you on this one. This bike is a significant step up from my old UJM, and I'm just a little too aware of my skill limitations (and unknown threats on the road) to enjoy wearing the chicken strips of my almost new Pilots. I'm going to do a sport bike course, but even then if my skills improve, my wariness of texting cagers, etc. would still limit my speeds on twisties.

    Kevin.

    Tyler,

Tell your employer that you have "The Cherohala Flu" and that it is very contagious.

The old Chero-flu. Doctors say that it runs rampant in the springtime every year in the south. It has strange symptoms, like stopping to stare at your bike as you leave for work at 4 in the morning...
