That wye doesn't look very sanitary. I would expect something better for a grand.

Getting back to this pic... are you sure this can't be done this way? Looks like you merely swap left and right cans. Maybe bend the tabs a bit. Do the pipes not line up or soemthing? 2nd pic looks better in my opinion.

    Dear VF friends,

I wanted to change my exhaust system to FMF Apex Slip on. I love the FMF design very much coincide with VFR800 anniversary model. However, a lot of aftermarket exhaust manufacturers recommend to instal PC if we choose to change the exhaust system. Do I need to instal PC if I opt FMF for VFR? Anyone there have any experience replacing exhaust system without installing PC? Please advise.

    Thanks.

    Shan

I'm running the FMF Apex without PC, no issues at all with the throttle actually feeling less 'snatchy'at low speeds...

To keep the topic up to date with pics/vids:

I did it for a while with my 2007 with Leo Vince Exhaust and my former 2002 with Staintunes. Eventually on both bikes I eventually added a PC but it was not mandatory. I think the PC helps when you can afford to add it to the set up.

You won't get them for $550 here jayburls, closer to $1k at the moment I'd imagine... I can't remember what mine were off hand but I saved $1k over an Oz distributors price by purchasing OS...

Hi I spoke with FMF this morning and the gentleman stated that this is a slip on. Were you able to purchase a full exhaust system ? If so where ? Thanks for your time.
