Hey vfourbear. Do you get a lot of feedback in you wisdom teeth when the solar flares coming out of Mount Vesuvius act up? I used to get them in my incisors but the problem moved to the molars on February 30th last year and then to my wisdom when your congress passed their temporary budget earlier this year. I just don't understand.

Here's the really weird shit Randy, when the government was shut down there for a couple weeks I suddenly only picked up Journey songs at really high volume. Not even the original songs, they were new stuff with that little Philippino guy they have now.

There's a grocery store within walking distance of my house but sometimes I'll skip it because they have an annoying guy at the cash register. I'll end up doing a scout run to see if he's there and if so, I go back to my car and proceed another half mile to another grocery store.

First world problem? Yep. Among our household rules are these two little gems:
    1. Motorcycles can only be bought, not sold.
    2. Motorcycles can only be bought if there is enough room in the garage to put them.

Why is this a problem? I have a two car garage, and I'm a bit OCD with keeping my toys clean and out of the weather. In that garage are typically:
    1. Subaru Forester
    2. Citroen C4
    3. Mountain bike
    4. 2 road bikes (pushbikes)
    5. Honda VFR750F
    6. Honda VFR750R
    7. Suzuki GSX1400
My other mountain bike lives outside because the only way get it in the garage is to put it inside a car.
I need to move both Hondas to get my Citroen out, or both Hondas and the Citroen to get the mountain bike out. To get to the VFR750R, the Subaru needs to move. Generally the GSX1400 can be gotten out without moving anything else.

I live on a dirt road. In the winter it rains quite a bit and mud builds up behind the fenders of my car. When I drive into town for client meetings the mud comes off and leaves four piles of grey goo in the parking spots I have vacated. If it has been raining there will also be a mud outline of where the car was much like a chalk outline around a murder victim. It's a bit embarrassing like when you are out walking the dog and he takes a crap in the street.

I accidentally set my space heater thermostat too warm. So I woke up just from being too hot and ended up having to sleep in another bedroom that's cooler.

I am given to understand that in Korea there are advertising campaigns warning people not to sleep with a fan on as it may kill them. A space heater is probably out of the question.

The eyeglass store I go to specializes in trendy frames at bargain prices aka Chinese made crap.

They have just one tech who sucks at making eyeglasses but is stellar at having a surly attitude. I don't know why he works a job that requires attention to detail, patience and finesse to do it right when he possesses none of the requisite skills.

Anyhoo, he prefers to make just one adjustment on new eyeglasses when it takes a few tries to get them right.

One day I felt his mounting anger and trying to diffuse it asked what the white powder was that he used to soften the plastic on the frames.

His eyes went wide, he balled up his fists and gritted his teeth so hard I thought he was going to crack a tooth. Requests for further adjustment usually result in at most a level 8 response, but my attempt at small talk blew up. This was a code red level 11 response.

I've even tried tipping him $5 on occasion. He just doesnt handle questions or requests very well.

I wouldn't go back but they keep warrantying his shoddy work and tossing in free pairs for my troubles.

It's obvious I am only exchanging my vanity and frugality for the strife of said shithead.

Man it's such a catch 22!! - a drawer full of all these stylish but sorta broken glasses and I just can't help going back because I want to wear them:(

I learned the hard way to avoid walmart for glasses. I had a pair that I dropped from only about 3 feet onto carpet and they were all messed up from that. Not only that even when brand new I could only wear them for about 5 or 6 hours because the nose rest would pinch and it would hurt.

I got my recent pair from LensCrafters and even though they cost about $100 more than walmart they are worth every penny. I've even THROWN my glasses (drunk) so hard that one of the lenses popped out but I was able to slide it back and it's like new. And I can wear them all day I barely notice they're on.

Appreciate the help fellow viffer ridin eyeglass donning first world citizen... BUT *This* is the penultimate setup, *the* creme de la creme of righteous indignation. Plus I get to feel myself so elevated for my patience and professionalism.

And as already said- I like free stuff. Lots and lots of free stuff. I'd take a picture of all my cheap awesome frames but I'd have to collect them from their scattered whereabouts- a few in my dresser drawer, 2 in car, 1 at work, 1 in bike trunk, 1 in shop and the ones I'm wearing. Also- got 1 at the store right now getting did.

My friend I do not have to nor shall I pop anything back in, for I need only squint and walk a few steps and another pair is there for me. It's like having a genie lamp for eyeglasses. Ooh it feels so good.
