Your time in jail in the military does NOT count on your time you have to serve on your enlistment.
So you WOULD want to get out of jail.
If you are in jail more than a short time you get sent to a re education camp in Denver,Colorado.
If you see the photos of the camp you will not want to attend.

If all of that fails then they send you to Leavenworth Federal Prison.
After you have served your time then you will be given a dishonorable discharge from the military.

There are some variations depending on which military service you select.

Bottom line... You will be on time. Like everyone else.

Yes, there is someone out there. Far out there where no (fill in the blank) has gone before. Even further out than Kansas, just in case there might be a question. Come to think of it, Dorothy's doggie really never asked where they were, she just sort of blurted it out.

Don't you normally have to sign a ticket? I didn't sign this ticket like I have in the past.

This was in Washington as state and I have never got a ticket in WA.

It seems to be quite common here in Vegas... people I work with also know someone who routinely gets their speeding tix knocked down to parking tix. Now, we still have to pay the full fine to the jurisdiction, but our record for DMV purposes shows it as a parking ticket so our insurance is not affected.

Not sure what to tell ya. I've always had to sign for mine. Now that everything is electronic, they have me sign the "electropad" then they print out my ticket with my signature on it. Not sure what's done in WA, as when I lived there, I never got a ticket... well I did once, but it was in Oregon on my way back from the coast...

LOL. I knew a guy who knew a guy who had a second cousin who knew a guy who sold the Brooklyn Bridge six times in one day.

What is going on IMO, is maybe a deferral system of sorts. You pay the full amount for the speeding infraction and after a time if no other moving violations appear on your record, the record is expunged. The hitch is that if you get another moving violation within the time constraint (usually a year) a fine is imposed on both infractions and both go on permanent record. Nevada has a point system. The specifics are posted on the net in several places. Twelve points and your liscense is suspended.

Insurers have access to all this info and if for some reason anyone thinks they will not use any legal means to raise your rates ( and MINE too) you, gotta be out your bloody gourd.

Dude: If you didn't sign the ticket there is no contract. By now the LEO probably talked to his boss and your tickee went MIA. Unless of course it was for speeding infront of the mayors deep fried chitlin joint where the mayor is also the Justice of the Peace and head chitlin flipper, you could still have a problem.

What I would do is move to Vegas and look up some of those folks that VFR Chica knows, where the fix is on.

When you sign, you aren't admitting guilt, just that you will answer the citation. People refuse to sign all the time, thinking it will somehow free them. If it was really that easy, don't you think no one would ever sign a ticket?

I didn't think it was that easy.

I'm just use to signing tickets and was wondering why it was different in WA. I found out that the rules are different WA since 2006.

    Ticket paid.

I guess that monkey would have to sit on the back of my VFR. Now I'm going to have to get motorcycle gear for a monkey.

Maybe I'll get a chimp, there a little smaller and he can hang out in my tail bag.

I did once offer a donut to a cop while in my truck though.

You know, you might be able to train that chimp to look out for cops. Then he could notify you by tapping on your shoulder or screaming through a chatter box.

Isn't it funny how these threads go... We started off with tickets, now were on chimps, and soon will be talken about that trip to the zoo where we were amazed how far that monkey threw feces.

Could the chimp sign the ticket?

    i
In some places not signing a citation leaves one open to recieve yet anogther citation. The law is applied differently on different locales. Check your GPS locators for deep fried chitlin franchises and avoid riding in places that have them.

Now I got to teach him how to write? That's a least a grand invested into a chimp with the gear and a chatter box and all.

Maybe the radar detector is the cheapest way to go.
