I would recomend that anyone who has a chance to throw a leg over one that they do so. It kinda re-defines the word "torque" and when you get back on your VFR it feels a bit weak but head to head the VFR will devastate the Hyper in a straight line given the chance. I never had a decent seat so after a very few miles my arse was complaining. I'm sure the sargeant would have made a huge difference. But there really isn't anything to it. It is as bare bones as you can get, no liquid cooling even! I was surprised at how much they cost considering the simple design and lack of amenities. As far as parts are concerned, brace yourself as a new rear wheel retails at $1700 clams and that is the basic wheel not the magnesium unit. I know because I needed one. Eventually I found a good used one for $500 but the point is that these Italian ladies like lots of attention and if you need parts whoa....yah better have good credit. If you need body work it will blow you mind the cost of their plastic. You can go full aftermarket carbon for the same or less cost. I loved the bike but given my financial limitations, I needed a more practical machine so I came back to the VFR that just does it all.
Love your Hypermotard! To me, the simplicity of it is the beauty of it! I would love to have one for a 2nd bike and use it for around town fun  Make no mistake, I will never part with my VFR...unless it is for another VFR. My bond was further strengthened on the trip around the lake. Just a fanastic, do it all, comfortable sport bike.
