Finding the perfect exhaust

    On my 1990, the Laser slip-on sounds great at a standstill, but anything above city limits and the sound is replaced by the wind noise in my quite quiet helmet.. I would rather hear the engine sound, than the wind noise at sane cruising speeds. (Below 65mph).

    Also it is almost unhearable from inside a car/bus whatever, unless I do a full throttle pass right next to it.

    I don't know if removing the rusty collector can, and cobbling together a custom 4-2-1 pipe would enhance the sound, or if it would just decimate the low down torque. Maybe I could just mike the exhaust tip and listen to that from my earphones. :/
