Today I bit the bullet and spent a whopping $5 on a can of black dip to hit the bottom of the tail. I felt that from most angles the tail was "a big red blob" so my first draft is a tapered black bottom that comes to a point at the tail. I may end up reshooting it a few times to figure out what I like.

Can you send me a link to the lights you bought. What is the 'normal' state of the lights ?

I would like to find something that flashes really fast in normal mode or has a running LED, you know something that when you approach catches your attention and says "don't run over me you stupid trooper":)

The light bar over the plate was purchased from custom dynamics website and the 8" 6LED strips on the peg mounts are 13$ a pair at any autoparts store. I spent about 50 for the center one w/turn signals and 30$ for the outer LED strips. They are just adhesive mounted and tapped into the regular tail/brake light. Any of these lights can take a flasher module inline from the OEM bike wiring so they flash when depressed.

The bottom ones don't look very bright with the brakes compared to the middle but the middle one is very directional and I am right in its field of view. One lane to the left or right and the peg lights would look brighter than the plate light due to their wide angle.

Good job! I love the way that single sided swing arm looks in all that open space. You could probably make more and sell them just saying...

This project has been a PITA and still doesn't look good in person. So, I don't see myself selling them in the future! Thank you for the compliment!
