I agree... it's like what I would think if I showed up to a WRX meet, and someone had put the STI badges all over their WRX.... :loco:

Well, one guy actually did that, but he built the entire motor, trans, and even interior to match OEM STI, so I won't complain about that. Same thing would go for the "liter bike" markings if it were actually bored out to a liter.

Personally, I would be fine with "781cc" markings on my VFR800.

A friend of mine actually told me a story about "back in the day" when he had some kind of bike that was called a "750" but actually displaced ~737 or something along those lines. Insurance at the time jumped up a notch for 750cc+ bikes. But since it was called a 750, even though it wasn't a 750cc bike, he got screwed

I got the same reaction with my ZRX from all the squids. The best part was I paid 1/4 the insurance and could park it overnight on the streets and no one would look at it. Whereas 600's are quite commonly stolen.

You guys are KILLING ME! LMAO!! I'll be talking to these guys today. I will ASK them one more time to give up the 1000 thing & point out some of there GREAT points. (sigh) I'm not optimistic. What gets me is these guys were hooked up with me by the friend I built that TL1000R for. In all it's "getto fabulous" glory with the chrome wheels and metal flake mid coat it has NO MARKINGS. It his TLR punched in the fabbed chain guard, but nothing else. Well I was able to ruin that bike with the flake for a pay day, I should be able to swallow my standards and just do it. I'm not for sale, but I'm FOR RENT. The wife aint happy that I'm doing it though. She must have higher standards. The big down side is she told me if I think she is gonna get her freinds :stripper: and her to pose for finished pics with these bikes it's not gonna happin..:nono:

On the opposite end of the stick ya got "sleepers". Got one m'self. A 66 Mercedes with a blueprinted 283 and a B&M hydro. Only things not stock are the paint, the stripped hubcaps and the somewhat larger than stock 2into1 exhaust tip.

    Then ya got "Rice-boys"

    .What is Rice-Boy?

Maybe there should be an official club or organization for bikes that could be called Rice-dudes or Rice-persons.

A guy on my FZ1 sight posted this story: "It's all about the girls.. I laugh'd my ass off one night when this HOT chick in a tight tee shirt, mini skirt, fish nets and pumps, came up to my budy at bike night in LA and asked "is that a 1000". He replyed, "No it's a 600". She giggled and told him as she leaned into him. "To bad, I thought you were a real man", and walked off. Laughing and strut'n her stuff as she walked out of sight.
I almost fell off my bike I was laughing so hard."
Ah, now it's clear. Getting a high CDI factor (chicks dig it) will allways trump any male self respect or dignity. Wonder if they would kiss a guy if a hot chick said "that would be hot"?

Well the 954 is going to have NO size markings. I talked the owner into the "Fire Blade" vinals.... THE 900RR is a differnt story. The ouner got the graphics via UPS and dropped them off to me.... I mentioned to him in jest that " There's a German outfit that makes a 1050 Big Bore Kit for this bike, why not just put 1050 RR on it!!!!" Well, he got them custom made....

I'm actually thinking of putting 699 on my second bike. Fake badges are like talking about being well endowed when you know you've actually been laughed at by some chick for your little pecker. :horn:

This thread reminded me that while in Phoenix a couple of weeks ago I saw this car...
with all of the original markings removed. Across the top of the windshield was a large "Honda" header.
As I was thinking, "That's NOT a Honda" I watched this dude park in the middle of a parking lane behind other cars, put on his hazards and set his annoyingly loud alarm.
He was inside a store for about 15 minutes while his r-tard car blocked the lane. When he came out he deactivated his alarm, but it did not seem as loud as when he set it.
He got in the poser mobile and attempted to start it, no go. The battery was dead.
I gleefully watched as he opened the door and pushed the car backwards with one foot in an attempt to pop the clutch.
He must have left his amplifiers on.
After he got it started and drove past me, I was sure to comment loudly, "Douche!"
