Fairing removal & reassembly = PITA

    Well, when you get peed-off to a point where rational/smart thinking is no longer the order. Plus it was so hot & humid that day all I wanted to do was to get that over with! And this is my 1st full-fairing bike. Gotta learn new tricks somehow...

    I've always taken the both side lower fairings and black centre cowl off as one piece. Mostly because the first time I tried it I found one of the screws wouldn't come out. I put a blanket underneath to stop scratches, remove everything then just manipulate it out in one go. Makes it a whole lot easier to re-install too. Just a thought.

    Thanks for the tip, Yellow99. I didn't think there'd be enough space under the bike for doing that...Now I know.

    Ever notice the naked bike theme stared right about the time fairing removal became a PITA and fairings became more expensive than the bikes themselves? Now I know why.
