You have slightly more HP and torque than my 6th G makes with my custom map from EDR in Portland, OR. Mine makes 100.06 HP and about 52.4 ft/lbs. However, my map resulted in a completely flat air/fuel ratio and absolutely no dip in HP and torque immediately before VTEC transition. None. So, perhaps it's a trade-off? If you are pleased with the map, that is what counts for you. However, you definitely can map these bikes to COMPLETELY eliminate the flat spot/dip before VTEC kicks in - if that's what you want. I told my tuner I wanted a smoother curve, not highest HP/torque, so that's what I got. I'll post my chart later when I get time. It might be interesting as a comparison.

Maps/dyno runs are cheap. They are fun to experiment with and change.

I'm sorry you got a mediocre tune and paid good money for it, call me all the names and espouse all the innuendos you want, but that tune isn't optimized. My sincerest apologies for pointing that out. My thought was that you could go back and discuss it with them. it's your money and your bike. Peace.

with tuning able to be accomplished at 50 rpm increments, a smooth curve through the VTEC transition and max hp and torque is attainable...as you are tuning in two distinctly different areas of throttle opening and rpm.

That makes sense. It's not an "either/or" situation, then.

Another chart for comparison. Red line is the map I downloaded from the Dynojet website. Blue is the custom map.

wow that air/fuel is spot on, perfectly flat! looks like my tuner doesnt have a clue with the vtec tuning. im kinda bummed out about it now. i got a decent deal, but i mean 200 bucks for a marginally better tune than the free map i got from vfrd. maybe i should have saved the dyno time money and shelled out for a pc5 and auto tune? oh well kinda late for that now...

Custom maps aren't that expensive. This is my second one. This time I found a shop that had tuned a lot of 6th Gs. New air filter and the dyno tune was under $300. I wouldn't have spent a dime to get 2 more HP and 1 more ft/lb of torque. But I love the way the map completely removed the dip before VTEC transition. Now, when folks tell me about the flat spot before the VTEC kicks in, I don't even bother to respond. Nobody rides my bike except me, so nobody knows how smooth it is. Except me.
