Don't use rat poison!

I died today.
I was found by a kind, sweet woman who does wildlife rescue.
I was so sick, I could barely open my eyes.
She took me inside, cradling me in her warm arms, and made me warm and comfortable.
I opened my eyes and looked at her and thanked her for making my last few minutes as comfortable as possible.
But i was too sick to keep fighting anymore.
I had eaten a mouse that was poisoned, and it made me very sick.
I closed my yellow eyes for the last time and went somewhere else.
Please, all I ask is never use poison to kill the mice.
Poison kills owls, like me.
All I wanted was a mouse for dinner.
I died today....

Please SHARE this for poison awareness.
Stop the use of poison for rats or mice. Live traps are the best to use. Catch and release.
Please.
Save a precious life today, because all life is precious.

That's another damn good reason not to use poison! A dog or cat could get one too! I'll for sure never use rat poison again.

 

The Audobon Society has more on the effects of various toxins used on vermin when eaten by birds and other carnivores.

One mo time..

A game warden hears shots and investigates. A dude is shooting seagulls. The game warden tells the dude this is against the law and he will get cited.

The dude tells the game warden he is just doing it to feed his family because he is out of work. The game warden feels sorry for the dude and decides to let him off with a stern warning.

The dude thanks him.

The game warden asks the dude what seagulls taste like. The dude tell him they taste like a cross between a bald eagle and a spotted owl.

 

Baby seal and bald eagle are much better anyway.

I use the T-Rex traps saftey wired to the banana trees, when I see nibbles and such, I bait the trap and hang it on a branch. They work as advertised, :loco: Roof rats are common here, trapped a few in a have-a-heart trap, why I did this I dont know. Had to put a pellet in the noggin of the ratster.

One of the worst stinks was when one of my old girl friends kids sat on his ferret and killed it (by accident supposedly.) So, I was given the yab of burying it in the court yard, trouble was there was only crushed white stone. Aboot a week later I guess someone complained about having an animal buried there. So, it was my new-yab to un-bury it and do something else with it. Well trouble was this chick had no shovels or anything, I originally used a spoon to dig the hole. I used the spoon again and HOLY CHIT batman, the smell was beyond anything you could tolerate. I picked the carcass up with the spoon and flung it into a near by dumpster, as which time two cats followed it into the garbage. :loco:
