My VFR is "Yellow No. 2" after the food additive that was removed from the market in the 70's for causing cancer in lab rats. My first 00 VFR was stolen 4 days after I bought it & the one I have now has an identical VIN # with the exception of the last 3 digits. I asked & was told that means the two bikes left the assembly line on the same day.

The Hawk is "The Mistress". It's a cranky, tempermental little bitch when I don't pay attention to it & that requires me to spend far too much time attending to little problems that wouldn't pop up if I would spend more time with it. When I do pay more attention to it than the VFR, it graces me with a completely rewarding sensation between my legs. Sounds just like a mistress to me.

    KC-10 FE out...

I knew a guy that gave his bikes all men's names. "Bruce", "Joey", "Fred"

When I asked him why he told me " because my bikes are too reliable to be women... ."

My 87 was always " Pearl" I guess, the 08 hasn't got a name yet really. Last week it was " The Dog" and this week it's just "that girl I fooled around with for a half hour once, what's her name?"

    Bob

In our group only the others can name your bike. My first gen was Bob, as only another dude would chase chicks and get me in as much trouble as that bike. Everyone calls an Interceptor in my posession "Bob". If you ride like a girl we give your bike a character name from the movie bambi, and it can not be changed.:argue2:
