It was good enough for Judge Dredd

Though yes jev is right in every word, each to his own.
It would be a horrid place if we all liked the same thing.

Honda must feel there is a market for this bike or they wouldnt make it.

And at the end of the day, when i am older and my back is shot, my wrists wont support me and i cant move for the pain of old age i might just want something like this to keep me on two wheels

So i say well done Honda for being innovative and market leader, the future is coming and only the brave try and get there ahead of time !

I TOTALLY 100% agree with you Jev. You nailed it for sure. To each their own. Don't have one, never will. Not my cup of tea.

    However.....

The 7th gen VFR better NOT be a "scooter" of any sort! Hell has no fury like a VFR owners scorn!!!

    I'm just saying......

I think that's where many member's frustration is coming from. The VFR is overdue for a new model and the only new models coming out from Honda are the Fury and the DN-01. Yet, the VFR is, by far, their most popular model in their lineup and yet they continue to ignore the model that repeatedly sells year after year. So I think the frustration is warranted, just maybe a little misguided to the horrid DN-01. Hopefully Honda will get their head out of their ass and realize just exactly where their bread is buttered.....VFR owners!

Let's hope the new V4, supposedly launched this fall, will be a knockout and a TRUE 7th gen. VFR.

    One can hope, right?

I wasn't talking about this thread alone. I was also mentioning the DN-01 flaming going on in another thread.

I could not agree more. The DN-01 is kinda growing on me and I'd like to ride one but I hope that IF Honda does bring out a new VFR it will be a ground breaker like the first one was and no a tech showcase with auto, air bags, etc.,etc.,etc. I hope it will meet and exceed most of our expectations but I'm not holding my breath. I am just as frustrated as anyone that Honda has seemed to have forgotten its roots and I hope they can give us some really interesting bikes in the future. Not that we'll probably see them in the states, but it'd be nice just the same. And of course, mine isn't paid for yet and I don't see a brand new bike in my future for a looooong time, but I could live vicariously through others.

I am a strong adherent to the to each his own philosophy. I gave up long ago on the notion of telling others what they should do, it's a waste of time, generally annoys people, and usually is just counter productive. If someone wants to buy every dn01 made and give them for Christmas presents, by all means, have at it.

I simply stated my opinion on the Dn01. It sucks. End of story.

Nobody should give a rats ass about my opinion anyway. I certainly don't expect anyone to. But I won't apologize for thinking it sucks.

As far as pining away my long winter nights wishing for Honda to build another VFR, I don't envision that happening either. Too many other brands out there to lust after.

I am about as far from an elitist as one can be brothers........I just happen to think the dn01 is lame. If you show up with one and want to ride with me you are always welcome.

I'll even keep quiet about how much I dislike it. Heehee

    NOT fair, my good man!

I'm saving my little VTR 250 Interceptor to ride when i'm really, really old.

    I wouldn't even park a DN-01 in my garage !
