My new 5th Gen cush drive fixes all the Ducati issues & any others I could think of, by that I mean anything that can work loose can ONLY go out away from the swingarm :)

I'm very late to jump on this band wagon and forgive me as I didn't read all the posts but it appears the OP "torqued" the nuts down on the shoulder of the studs....too bad the studs were not tight in the hub. I cringe about his claims to be a mechanic....I'm am a mechanic and it is quite insulting.
He claims to know what he is doing, torquing with a hammer, has a failure and still doesn't realize what caused the failure...mechanic my ass!

Mohawk posted porn! More pictures please! They have wrenches that were designed to be hit with hammers. These are used in 3/4 - 1 inch applications of stuff where if you dropped what ever you were working on your foot, you would get a ride to the emergency room. Hence the whole steel toe-hard hart envirnment. This does not apply to the OP though. I was doing a pos plastic intake manifold on a car and it required two torque values. I have three wrenches 15-200 inch pounds/25-75 foot pounds/35-200? foot pounds. First torque was something like 18 on bolts, Since I did'nt have a wrench that went down that low, I opted for the inch pound one set at its MAX, did the bolts and then went to the next torque value. The initial torque was maybe 1-2 off but the second one was right on the money. Happy ending to the story, no leaks, (not marking its territory like many Harleys do) and pos rides good.

The moral of the story. Use common sense using tools. Oh, foot note, I was working for a shop that races shifter carts. I think that I have seen alot of different stuff in my life but by no means thinK I know it all. Well anyway, seems these blolkes were using these tools called "Facom" I have seen them before but never had hands on experience. Turns oot, they have a torque wrench specifically set up for spark plug applications. It does not look fancy but you just crank on that sucker and it will click off. Pretty far oot really. Anyway, Cheers and Happy riding/spannering. :mech:

Yeh, you see that emblazoned on some of the "prancing horse" cars right? Here it is an oddity. I have seen some crazy wrenches and chit believe me. I picked one up from a swap shop-flea market, it was made in the UK by; get ready for this: "King-Dick." Seriously? I believe I must have the only one of these spanners in the USA!

Cheers...btw, the germans have some funny sounding companies that make tools. Stahlwille is a favorite as it just rolls off your tongue:pound: :pound:

What if they were call "Strap-On"?
You would be in a better position to tell us Mohawk, but Dick doesn't have the same connotation in the UK as in the US does it? I'm a bit rusty on my English slang, it's been way too long since I've been there and haven't really kept in touch with my cousins either.

Yeh, you could get some "spotted dick" too at a restaraunt and the person would not look at you like you were from Mars for ordering it, and the waiter would not be wearing any of those chaps arseless when he served it to you either. Here in the "states" "spotted dick" is served mostly to harley doodes in the arse-less-chap envirnment.

Cheers. Its a nice little spanner mate, off set box. You know here in the states we call a poosy a "box" too.
